  • Patent number: 12248495
Abstract: A method for managing data synchronization for a database having a dynamic schema, the method comprising: generating, at a first client device, a first changeset that is representative of an operation on a data object in a database; transmitting a synchronization request for synchronizing the database with one or more changesets generated by a second client device; receiving a second changeset that is representative of an operation performed by the second client device on the data object, wherein the database is shared between the first client device and the second client device; and merging, at the first client device, the first changeset and the second changeset to update the data object, wherein the merging is performed based on data received from a plurality of the one or more servers operating in parallel to each other.

  • Publication number: 20240427798
Abstract: Described herein are tiered synchronization systems and methods suitable for use in non-relational database systems distributed across multiple remote locations, which may provide access to some or all functionality of a cloud-tier server at a mid-tier server. For example, the mid-tier server may be locally accessible (e.g., over LAN) to clients independent of any remote connection to the cloud-tier server (e.g., over the Internet). In some embodiments, a mid-tier server may be configured to perform flexible sync functionality, such as flexible partitioning and/or permissions, whether independently and/or in cooperation with the cloud-tier server performing the same or similar functionality. In some embodiments, systems described herein may provide flexible and consistent local data access to non-relational data in locations where remote network connections are intermittent, such as due to weather conditions, relatively frequent network outages, and/or due to the location regularly changing (e.g.

  • Patent number: 11660418
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide methods, apparatuses, and systems for closed-loop sleep protection and/or sleep regulation. According to an aspect, a biosignal parameter and ambient noise are measured. The biosignal parameter is used to determine sleep condition of a subject. The sleep condition is determined based on one or more of personalized sleep data or historical sleep data collected using a subset of society. Based on the sleep condition, an arousal threshold is determined. Based on the ambient noise and the determined sleep condition, one or more actions are taken to regulate sleep and avoid sleep disruption.

  • Publication number: 20220004903
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining eligibility for, e.g., collegiate athletics, recommending actions and classes to fulfill requirements, and providing checklists, charts, and recommendations in one or more user interfaces. The system may store, e.g., in storage equipment, eligibility requirements for athlete candidates from a governing body that defines an eligibility state, and store course information from one or more high schools. The system may receive, over a communications network, academic information for an athlete candidate. The system may generate, using processing circuitry, a profile for the athlete candidate using the course information, and the academic information. The system may generate the profile for the athlete candidate using the eligibility requirements. The eligibility requirements may comprise requirements from one or more educational institutions (e.g., stricter requirements).

According to an aspect, a biosignal parameter and ambient noise are measured. The biosignal parameter is used to determined sleep condition of a subject. Based on the sleep condition, an arousal threshold is determined. Based on the ambient noise and the determined sleep condition, one or more actions are taken to regulate sleep and avoid sleep disruption by using sound masking or active noise reduction (ANR).

  • Publication number: 20170173360
Abstract: A system and method for treating skin comprise a heat generating device that increases a temperature of the target therapeutic region of tissue for a period of time to a temperature that is less than an injuring temperature and induces an expression of heat shock proteins (HSPs) at the target therapeutic region of tissue; and an apparatus that outputs an application of a topical to the target therapeutic region of tissue at or about the same time as the output of the optical energy from the heat generating device, wherein the topical application combined with expressed HSPs produce an accelerated collagen generation and formation.

  • Publication number: 20160238238
Abstract: A combustion chamber (10) for burning solid fuels having a high volatiles content has a hollow body (11) with a cylindrical wall section (12) and a top section (13) located at end (14) of the cylindrical wall section (12). The hollow body (11) has a primary air inlet (20), a fuel inlet (23) and four volatiles outlets (25) (one shown), mounted therein. Each volatiles outlet (25) has a plurality of apertures (26) of differing sizes arranged in a plate (27). In use, the burning volatiles exit the apertures (26) in a turbulent flow resulting in efficient combustion of the volatiles. Additionally, a heat transferring surface (33) on a water jacket (32) is shaped around the combustion chamber (10) so as to define a channel (34) there between. This arrangement results in an efficient transfer of heat from the turbulent flow of volatiles, which is forced to circulate around the channel (34).
