  • Patent number: 11967001
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a video of a user-defined virtual reality scene are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: obtain a scene definition; obtain camera information for multiple virtual cameras to be used in generating a two-dimensional presentation of the virtual reality scene; execute a simulation of the virtual reality scene from the scene definition for at least a portion of the scene duration; obtain camera timing instructions specifying which of the virtual cameras should be used to generate the two-dimensional presentation of the virtual reality scene as a function of progress through the scene duration; generate the two-dimensional presentation of the virtual reality scene in accordance with the camera timing instructions and the camera information.

  • Patent number: 9974080
Abstract: A terminal for use within an unknown regulatory domain, and a computer program product and method for configuring the terminal, are provided. The terminal can comprise first program instructions to actively scan one or more domain independent channels in a frequency band, second program instructions to configure the terminal for use in the unknown regulatory domain in response to the terminal receiving regulatory domain information as a result of actively scanning one or more of the domain independent channels, third program instructions to passively scan one or more domain dependent channels in the frequency band in response to the terminal not receiving the regulatory domain information as a result of actively scanning one or more of the domain independent channels, and fourth program instructions to configure the terminal for use in the unknown regulatory domain in response to passively scanning one or more domain dependent channels in the frequency band.

  • Patent number: 8866963
Abstract: There is set forth herein a terminal having an image sensor array and a plurality of operator selectable operating modes. The image sensor array can have an associated light source bank. The operator selectable operating modes can include at least one camera operating mode and at least one flashlight operating mode. In the at least one camera operating mode the image sensor array and light source bank can be controlled for optimization of frame capture. In the at least one flashlight operating mode the image sensor array and the light source bank can be controlled for optimizing illumination of an operators viewing area with reduced average power consumption.

  • Patent number: 8692927
Abstract: There is set forth herein an imaging terminal having an image sensor array and a variable lens assembly for focusing an image onto the image sensor array. In one embodiment, an imaging terminal can include one or more focusing configuration selected from the group comprising a full set focusing configuration, a truncated set focusing configuration and a fixed focusing configuration. When a full set focusing configuration is active, a full set of candidate focus settings can be active when the imaging terminal determines a focus setting of the terminal responsively to a trigger signal activation. When a truncated set focusing configuration is active, a truncated range of candidate focus settings can be active when the imaging terminal determines a focus setting of the terminal responsively to a trigger signal activation.
