  • Patent number: 5758317
Abstract: A method for voice-based affiliation of an operator identification code to a communication unit (101) is accomplished when the communication unit transmits a voice-based affiliation request, a predetermined voice pattern and a communication unit identification code, to a communication resource allocator (103). Upon reception of the voice-based affiliation request, the communication resource allocator compares stored predetermined voice patterns with the predetermined voice pattern to identify a matching predetermined voice pattern. When the matching predetermined voice pattern is identified, the communication resource allocator affiliates the operator identification code with the communication unit identification code, thus affiliating the operator identification code with the communication unit.

  • Patent number: 5341985
Abstract: The business form assembly includes an integrated mailer and return envelope comprising first, second, third and fourth plies having first, second, third and fourth edges. The first and third edges of the four plies are adhesively secured one to the other. Additional lines of adhesive are inset from a tear strip containing the adhesive securing the first, second, third and fourth plies to one another for securing the second and third plies to one another. The second and third plies are inset along second and fourth edges to enable adhesive securement of the first and fourth plies along the first and fourth edges to one another. A return envelope flap is formed by a fold line in the third ply. A registering line of perforations in the second ply defines the back face of the return envelope and a record-keeping portion between the line of perforations and the fourth edge.

  • Patent number: 5319970
Abstract: An air data sensor (10) for mounting on an air vehicle (14), the outer end (11) is spaced outwardly from a surface of the air vehicle (14), a mounting base (12) and an outer end (11) which is provided with sensing ports (21, 22) for sensing air data parameters, the body (32) of the sensor (10) is made so that when viewed in the bisecting plane of the body (32), the inner and outer edges (34, 36) of the body curve continuously from the outer end (11) to the base (12). These edges (34, 36) diverge from adjacent to the outer end (11) to the base (12) to provide a very smooth streamlined probe (10) which tends to reduce drag.

  • Patent number: 4832094
Abstract: An electric waterbed pump is presented comprising an electric pump having outlet and inlet tubes, a cord for attaching the pump to electricity, and a stabilizing base capable of holding the apparatus in an essentially upright position as the waterbed deflates. The pump is especially adapted to drain waterbeds and is of increased efficiency due to the use of electrical force in the pumping procedure.

  • Patent number: 4768660
Abstract: A storage assembly is provided with at least one adjustable hook for engaging a support rail which can be attached to a vertical surface, such as a wall. Each hook has two cantilever engaging members which are engaged with the rail through T-shaped apertures. The hooks are easily inserted into, or removed from, the support rail by deflecting one of the cantilever members.

  • Patent number: 4699343
Abstract: An adjustable support for workpieces is provided with a tripod base in which each of the three legs includes an angle bar having a vertical top segment. The top segments of the legs are securely connected together by a polyhedron shaped junction member. The junction member has a central collar for slidably receiving therein a vertical standard which carries a horizontal workpiece support bar. The junction member carries hand-operable locking means for cooperating with the standard and collar for securely locking the standard in a selected position.

  • Patent number: 4682698
Abstract: A tool holder apparatus is provided for holding ferromagnetic hand tools for convenient storage. The apparatus includes a mounting member for being attached to a generally vertical surface and includes a generally elongate support frame extending from the mounting member. The support frame defines at least two oppositely facing sides. The support frame is pivotally mounted to the mounting member to accommodate swinging movement of the support frame for providing access to either of the two sides. A plurality of bar magnets are provided on the support frame for magnetically attracting and holding the hand tools to each side of the support frame.

  • Patent number: 4581828
Abstract: A spirit level is provided which may be conveniently packaged and sold in knocked down form with the liquid vials and vial holders initially separated from the frame. The mounting openings in the web of the frame are rectangular or square with sides parallel and perpendicular to the working surfaces of the frame. The vial holders comprise a pair of opposed mating members of complementary configuration with the opening and having four pairs of mounting tabs for positioning the vial in accurate parallel or vertical orientation by cooperating with the corners of the rectangular opening. The holders also comprise posts which cooperate with the pairs of tabs to urge the tabs into gripping engagement with the corners of the mounting openings.
