Abstract: The present invention relates to a display device for an artificial fireplace, configured to display a fireplace video that at least comprises flames. The display device comprises a backlight source, which comprises a plurality of LEDs, which are disposed in an LED pattern, wherein the backlight source is configured to emit light with the LEDs, and an LCD-panel, which is configured to selectively transmit and/or modulate light from the backlight source, in order to display the fireplace video. An edge of the LED pattern thereby substantially corresponds to a flame top edge of a flame area in which the flames are imaged in the fireplace video.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for displaying an artificial fire pattern in an artificial fireplace. The method comprises the steps of:—providing a first video, which is based on a recorded video of an actual fire pattern of a fire on a physical fireplace element in an actual fireplace,—arranging an artificial fireplace element in an interior of the artificial fireplace, wherein the shape of the artificial fireplace element substantially corresponds to the shape of the physical fireplace element in the actual fireplace,—displaying a first video, in order to create the artificial fire pattern, wherein the first video is, seen along a line of sight, aligned with the artificial fireplace element, such that the artificial fire pattern substantially resembles to the actual fire pattern.

Abstract: The present invention provides an artificial fireplace for displaying an artificial fire pattern. The fireplace comprises a housing, defining an interior and comprising at least one opening to allow a line of sight into the interior, a semi-transparent mirror, which is arranged in the interior and which comprises a first side, facing the opening, and an opposite second side, facing away from the opening. The fireplace further comprises a first display device, which is arranged in the housing and which is configured to display a first video of flames, towards the first side of the semi-transparent mirror, and a second display device, which is arranged in the housing and which is configured to display a second video towards the second side of the semi-transparent mirror.

Abstract: A stretcher is usable as a life raft. The stretcher is provided with an elongate support panel having a U-shaped inflatable tube, which surrounds the support panel on its front and sides. The inflatable tube has a first part, which is attached to the support panel and an adjoining second part, which forms an obtuse angle with the first part. The transition between the first part and second part forms a tilting point for the life raft in order to be able to tilt the life raft in the water between a first position in which the first parts of the inflated tube act as floats and a second position in which the second parts of the inflatable tube act as floats. By stowing away the deaerated inflatable tube in the support panel, the life raft can also be used as a stretcher for rescue operations on ice.

Abstract: Auxiliary drive for a trailer such as a caravan. Said drive consists of a drive unit with a gearwheel. Through linear movement of the drive unit relative to the chassis, said gearwheel can be brought into engagement with a ring gear fitted either on the brake drum of a wheel of the vehicle or on an auxiliary part such as a covering drum fitted over said brake drum. The ring gear preferably lies in a plane outside the plane bounded by the inside of the wheel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system, for monitoring and optimising a performance of at least one human operator, comprising—monitoring means (2) for collecting performance parameters, representative for the status of the performance;—processing means (3) for assessing the operator's performance on the basis of said collected performance parameters and for providing the human operator with guiding instructions for improving said performance; and—communication means (4) for communicating the guiding instructions to the human operator, wherein the performance parameters comprise at least one physiological parameter of the human operator, at least one interactive parameter, representative for any interaction between the human operator and his environment and preferably at least one contextual parameter regarding the human operator's direct environment.
