  • Publication number: 20150183211
Abstract: A dry offset rotary metal beverage container decorator has a plurality of ink applicators, a plurality of printing plates, and a plurality of transfer blankets. Each printing plate has print surface engaging a corresponding ink applicator of the plurality of ink applicators and receives a quantity of fluid therefrom. Each transfer blanket has an ink receiving surface. Each ink receiving surface sequentially engages each print surface of the plurality of printing plates. The ink receiving surface has a plurality of blanket relief features of a photosensitive emulsion surface.

  • Patent number: 8844747
Abstract: A metallic can end for a container is described. The metallic can end has a curl defining an outer perimeter of the can end. A wall extends downwardly from the curl. A strengthening member is joined to a lowermost end of the wall. A center panel is joined to the strengthening member and is centered about a longitudinal axis. The center panel has a product side and a public side. A rivet is located on the center panel. A displaceable tear panel is on the center panel. The tear panel is at least substantially defined by a frangible score and a non frangible hinge segment. A non-detachable tab is staked to the center panel by the rivet. The non-detachable tab has a nose end extending over a portion of the tear panel, a lift end opposite the nose end, and a central webbing between the nose and lift end. The webbing has a hinge region and a rivet island surrounding the rivet. The rivet island is at least partially surrounded by a first void region to provide a first exposed area of the center panel.

  • Patent number: 6539772
Abstract: An emergency water system testing system (20) is provided which includes a retaining tank (21) having inlet conduits (23 and 24), a vent (25), and an outlet conduit (26). The testing system also includes a support carriage (33) having four lockable wheels (34) and a flow measuring device (36). The system may be coupled to the coupler valve (14) of an emergency water system (12) so that water expelled from the emergency water system is contained on sight while the flow rate of the water is determined. In this manner the water expelled from the water system may then be moved to a remote location and controllably discharged.

  • Patent number: 6368697
Abstract: A metal-clad laminate product including a carrier film, a release agent layer, a semi-transparent metal layer and a photo dielectric layer deposited on the conductive metal layer and a method for using the metal-clad laminate product to form an interlayer via by exposing at least a portion of an circuit board intermediate prepared from the metal-clad laminate product to light through the semi-transparent metal layer for a period of time sufficient to form an exposed or an unexposed photo dielectric portion and thereafter removing the exposed or unexposed portion of the photo dielectric layer and a corresponding portion of the semi-transparent metal layer overlying the exposed or unexposed portion of the photo dielectric layer to form an interlayer via.

  • Patent number: 6343434
Abstract: A system of poisonous bait presentation that preserves and prolongs the original characteristics of a deployed point source bait supply until such time as targeted pests expose a portion of the bait. The aggregate bait supply is distributed among separate compartments positioned proximately within a bait container produced from a deformable material that is resistant to reaction with the intended bait content and degradation from exposure to the environment once deployed. Palatability of the material may be enhanced by the inclusion of a feeding stimulant and/or attractant throughout it or in or on portions of it, thereby encouraging targeted pests to investigate it and, through piercing or mastication, eventually breach and make available for consumption one or more compartments of the preserved bait.

  • Patent number: 6255039
Abstract: High density built-up multilayer printed circuit boards are produced by constructing microvias with photoimageable dielectric materials. A photosensitive dielectric composition on a conductive foil is laminated to conductive lines on a core. After imaging the foil and imaging and curing the photosensitive dielectric composition, vias are formed to the conductive lines. Thereafter the conductive lines are connected through the vias to the conductive foil, and then the conductive foil is patterned.
