The heat removal elements conduct heat from heat producing components of the computing device to the carrier. The carrier conducts heat away from the heat removal elements.

    Abstract: A device and method is described for the collection of breath or air samples into a chemically clean bag or balloon, to facilitate analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in low concentrations in the collected samples. A reservoir of activated charcoal is introduced into the bag or balloon for initial removal of VOCs and it is then replaced with a similar reservoir of activated charcoal until the bag or balloon is employed to collect a sample. The device fulfills a long-felt need for collection of breath and air samples with a high VOC signal-to-noise ratio.

The method for identifying biomarkers comprises the steps of collecting a breath sample from subjects known to have a disease and subjects known to be free of the disease; analyzing the collected breath samples to determine all mass ions in each of the collected breath samples using at least one time-resolved separation technique and at least one mass-resolved separation technique; identifying a subset of the determined mass ions in a processor as the biomarkers for detecting the disease, the subset of the determined mass ions are statistically significant for detecting the disease; and combining the subset of the determined mass ions in a multivariate algorithm in the processor to generate a value of a discriminant function indicating the likelihood that the subject has the disease.

A heat management plate divides the cooking chamber into a lower fire pit portion and an upper cooking portion. The heat plate has an array of hot gas convection openings that extend between a first location which is spaced away from the firewall and a second location that is adjacent to the stack wall. The open area presented by the openings increases between the first location and the second location. An optional adjustable gate may also be present in the heat management plate between the firewall and the first location.
