Abstract: The present invention relates to a service provider connected to a database for storing a plurality of images having associated unique identifiers. The service provider comprising a first interface for enabling a user to select at least one of the plurality of images to be displayed on a transaction card. The service provider also comprising a second interface for enabling a card issuer to upload a stock image to the database and for assigning a unique stock identifier to said stock image.

Abstract: An inertial device is provided for location in a road vehicle independently of a seat belt retractor, and is arranged to actuate the locking mechanism of the retractor in response to a predetermined acceleration. The device may be operable in response to application of the vehicle brakes. The device may be associated with more than one seat belt and may be held electrically against a spring bias in the locked position, for release on sensing the predetermined acceleration.

Abstract: A seat-belt apparatus of the kind which is arranged to be mounted in a vehicle for automatically moving a seat-belt of the apparatus into, and away from, an operative position across a vehicle seat. A seat-belt retraction mechanism is coupled to the seat-belt and is mounted on a vehicle door adjacent the said seat. The retraction mechanism includes a locking mechanism for inhibiting withdrawal of the seat-belt from the retraction mechanism, and is provided with means for controlling operation of the locking mechanism having a first state in which operation of the locking mechanism is inhibited and a second state in which operation of the locking mechanism is permitted.
