  • Patent number: 12644332
Abstract: A gate assembly for physical and aesthetic integration into any wall or fencing solution, and an associated method of assembling the same. The gate assembly includes a gate pivotably attached to a transom via a hinge. The gate includes side members and spacing tabs that create a channel system within the gate. The channel system is configured to receive a plurality of infill panels of various sizes and designs that aesthetically match the wall or fencing solution into which the gate assembly is being integrated. The gate further includes a cap attached to the top of the gate that traps the infill panels within the gate. When the gate is in a closed position, the cap is blocked by the transom, and no mechanical fasteners are accessible from either side of the gate assembly.

  • Patent number: 11629534
Abstract: A latch is configured to fix a panel relative to a frame. The latch includes a housing having a longitudinal axis and defining an aperture along the longitudinal axis; a cap mounted within the aperture of the housing for rotation about the longitudinal axis, the cap comprising a drive surface; and a cover coupled to the housing to pivot about a lateral axis, the cover pivotable to be in a closed position in which the cover covers the cap; wherein when the cap is in an unlatched position, the drive surface of the cap is aligned with an engagement surface of the cover and positioned to block the cover from pivoting to the closed position; and wherein when the cap is in a latched position, the drive surface is unaligned with the engagement surface and positioned to permit the cover to pivot to the closed position.

  • Patent number: 9462132
Abstract: Methods and systems for creating mobile conference rooms for conference calls between client devices and one or more contacts are described herein. A server receives, from the client device, a request to create a mobile conference room. The server creates the mobile conference room by assigning a phone number to the mobile conference room. After notifying the client device, the server receives data regarding one or more contacts to add to the mobile conference room. The server receives, from the client device, a request to initiate a conference call with a subset of contacts. A call is received, from the server, concurrently by each of the subset of contacts. The server bridges the client device and the contacts that have answered the call on the conference call.

  • Publication number: 20060057384
Abstract: There is disclosed an approach for the gold-coating of cores, such as magnetic nanoparticles. In some instances, the core and gold colloids can be fabricated first through irradiation, such as laser irradiation, and then mixed together for further laser irradiation. Alternatively, the cores may be fabricated using wet chemistry and subsequently coated using an irradiation method. Also disclosed is a two phase aqueous:oil system and its use in coating a material present in one phase with a second material present in the second phase.

  • Patent number: 6075631
Abstract: A method of reconfiguring a multi-wavelength communication network. The transition includes determining the union of the old and new topologies. During at least the start of the transition, the network supports the union topology. New connections are connected according to the new topology, and the old topology, as its connections expire, is gradually removed. In allocating wavelengths to a new topology, two algorithms are developed which assign wavelengths which do not color clash with the wavelength assignments of the old topology.

  • Patent number: 5404451
Abstract: A method for selecting the most cost-efficient configuration for backbone links in a distributed data network is disclosed. The method identifies candidate links between pairs of backbone nodes, evaluates the effect on the network of adding each candidate link to the network, and adds to the network those candidate links which produce a cost savings in the network. The method also routes data through the backbone to minimize transmission delays, and eliminates redundant lines from underutilized links, and removes from the network those links whose removal reduces the cost of the backbone.

  • Patent number: 5253161
Abstract: A method to produce near-optimal routes for the flow of data between clusters in a distributed data communications network. A backbone traffic matrix and a backbone topology at the cluster level are used to produce minimum hop routes, minimum delay routes, or routes which maximize throughput. The inputs of the system are the number of requirements, the number of backbone links, and the number of backbone nodes.
