Publication number: 20250132947Abstract: A branding and configuring system for devices of a vehicle to be branded includes: an Ethernet switch including ports; a branding module connected to the Ethernet switch and generating new identification information for each of the devices and send the new identification information via a respective one of the ports to that device; and the devices connected respectively to the ports and including a RAM and a NVM. Each of the devices is configured to: store the corresponding new identification information received from the branding module for that device in the RAM or replace identification information stored in the RAM of that device with the corresponding new identification information in the RAM; and based on the new identification information, receive programming from a testing device external from the vehicle to reprogram that device for a dedicated functional role within the vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2023Publication date: April 24, 2025Inventors: Andrew Kryszak, Subhash Vijaya DODDACHIKKAVEERANNA, Chang LIU, Anup DHOTE, Michael POTTS, Daniel Pinheiro CARLESIMO

Publication number: 20250007748Abstract: A bus-based communication includes a primary node, one or more secondary nodes that are each assigned an original node identifier, and a bus electrically connecting the primary node and the one or more secondary nodes with one another based on a bus-based communication protocol. The bus-based communication protocol defines a predefined number of sequentially numbered available node identifiers, and the original node identifier assigned to each secondary node corresponds to one of the sequentially numbered available node identifiers defined by the bus-based communication protocol of the bus. The primary node implements a re-mapping technique that re-numbers the original node identifiers assigned to the secondary nodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2023Publication date: January 2, 2025Inventors: Michael Potts, Sudhakaran Maydiga

Publication number: 20240156330Abstract: In an endoscope system, a processor is programmed to control the image sensor and/or illumination to underexpose or overexpose every other frame of the video image data. The image sensor generates image data at a frame rate. Successive pairs of frames of the image data are combined to recover dynamic range and detail in over-bright or over-dark portions of the image, and the combined frames have the full frame rate of the video as generated by the image sensor. A machine learning model processes the video to simultaneously upsample the image data to a resolution higher than that captured by the image sensor, to sharpen edges, and to enhance local contrast. A two-output PID control algorithm controls exposure intensity by controlling at least two of gain, exposure, and illumination to achieve image display at a setpoint intensity, maximum change per step of the PID control damped to prevent oscillation.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2023Publication date: May 16, 2024Applicant: PSIP2 LLCInventors: Weston E. Patent number: 8572900Abstract: A deck panel assembly that includes a deck panel having an upper surface and a bottom surface and includes a first section, a second section, and an intermediate section defined between the first section and the second section. Each section includes at least one longitudinal extending rib portion. A pair of spaced apart support members connects the first section, the intermediate section, and the second section to each other, wherein the intermediate section is adapted to be removed from between the first section and the second section of said deck panel and from between the spaced apart support members, thereby defining an access port therein.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2010Date of Patent: November 5, 2013Assignee: Epic Metals CorporationInventor: Stephen Michael Potts

Publication number: 20060011016Abstract: On sailboats and other applications shackles or clevis devices are commonly used to join two flexible members which will be subjected to tension. This hand held tool facilitates the easy rotation of the pins of such devices for the purpose of tightening or loosening them allowing them to be attached and detached. This tool provides an external shape that is obvious to hold in the most suitable orientation and comfortably between thumb and fingers. It includes an irregularly shaped internal hole in which to locate the head of various sizes and designs of shackle/clevis pins, in such a way that this location reduces slipping and allows easy rotation through 180 degrees with a movement of the operators wrist.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2005Publication date: January 19, 2006Inventor: Michael Potts
