  • Publication number: 20190005584
Abstract: The invention is a system and method of appraising and managing risk relating to technology needs using a risk management processing engine. The risk management processing engine serves as a central server for an administrator to manage a plurality of policy holders and third party service technicians. The invention gathers policy holder data, determining the risk associated with the data, creating a risk management policy for technology service events and technology service situations in order to mitigate or eliminate the risk, and resolving serviceable events when risk is actualized.

  • Publication number: 20180335209
Abstract: An inlet assembly for a burner and a method are disclosed. The inlet assembly comprises: an inlet nozzle defining an inlet aperture coupleable with an inlet conduit providing an effluent gas stream for treatment by the burner, a non-circular outlet aperture, and a nozzle bore extending along a longitudinal axis between the inlet aperture and the outlet aperture for conveying the effluent gas stream from the inlet aperture to the outlet aperture for delivery to the combustion chamber of the burner, the nozzle bore having an inlet portion extending from the inlet aperture and an outlet portion extending to the non-circular outlet aperture. In this way, the non-circular outlet aperture provides a non-circular effluent gas stream flow into the combustion chamber. The non-circular effluent gas flow enables a greater volume of effluent gas stream to be introduced into the combustion chamber whilst still achieving or exceeding the required levels of abatement.

  • Patent number: 10127562
Abstract: Any of various comparisons of computer folders from different points in time is performed. Such comparisons provide the ability to discover missing documents or documents with modification dates that have changed when there would otherwise have been no need to change them and thus allows discovery of missing documents to discover fraud or to search for evidence after a fraud is suspected. In another embodiment, deltas in accounting system vendor invoice accounts are compared at different points in time, potentially exposing the practice of moving fraudulent vendor transactions into a large group of legitimate transactions for a legitimate vendor. Per period transaction totals for specific periods for legitimate vendors are compared over historical time for suspicious activity. A comparison of reports from the two different periods, using exact data and software from those separate periods (instead of reporting from “current” data), may raise a red flag otherwise missed.

  • Publication number: 20180311607
Abstract: The abatement apparatus includes a porous element at least partially defining a treatment chamber and through which treatment materials pass for introduction into the treatment chamber for treatment of an effluent gas stream; and an infra-red heating device operable to emit infra-red energy to heat the porous element which heats the treatment materials as they pass through the porous element into the treatment chamber. In this way, infra-red energy, rather than combustion, can be used to raise the temperature within the treatment chamber in order to treat the effluent gas stream. This allows the apparatus to be used in environments where no fuel gas exists or where the provision of fuel gas is considered undesirable. Also, heating the treatment materials as they pass through the porous sleeve, rather than simply using radiant heat to heat the treatment chamber enables significantly more energy to be imparted into the treatment materials.

  • Patent number: 10099169
Abstract: Liquid ring pumps are used to pump a variety of fluid types. The present invention provides a two stage liquid ring pump through which an exhaust gas comprising compounds to be destroyed is passed. The exhaust gas passes through the first stage to a gas abatement device, following which it is passed back to the second stage of the liquid ring pump for removal of the compounds formed in said abatement device. The stages of the liquid ring pump may be adjustable.

  • Publication number: 20180288070
Abstract: A computer implemented method includes receiving instructions from a user for identifying data on one or more social networks, wherein the instructions received from the user comprise one or more conditions and one or more actions, identifying, on the one or more social networks, data that is associated with one or more social entities, determining one or more characteristics of the identified data, determining, based on the one or more characteristics of the identified data, that the identified data meets one or more conditions for identifying data specified in the instructions received from the user, in response to determining that the identified data meets one or more conditions specified in the instructions received from the user, performing one or more actions specified in the instructions received from the user.

  • Publication number: 20180262805
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying, assembling, and publishing content are described. A content item, such as a video, having a first time length, is identified by a system to be included in a program scheduled for a first time period. The video may be hosted on a third party system. A first span of time within the first program is allocated for the video, wherein the first span of time is longer than the first time length. The system determines, prior to or at the first time period, a time difference between a current length of the video and the first span of time. At least partly in response to determining that the video has a time length shorter than the first span of time, the system selects supplemental content based at least in part of the determined time difference to be streamed to user terminals over a data network within the first time period.

  • Publication number: 20180214812
Abstract: Venturi Scrubbers are used to separate particulate from a large range of fluids. Many provide additional liquid and/or gas to drive the fluid and aid in the removal of particulate. The present invention provides a liquid ring pump through which the fluid to be treated is first passed and then exhausted, with additional work fluid to a Venturi scrubber such that the particulate can be separated from the exhaust fluid.

  • Patent number: 10030871
Abstract: A radiant burner and method are disclosed. The radiant burner is for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing process tool and comprises: a combustion chamber having a porous sleeve through which combustion materials pass for combustion proximate to a combustion surface of the porous sleeve; a combustion characteristic monitor operable to determine combustion performance of the radiant burner by monitoring infra-red radiation emitted from the combustion surface; and a radiant burner controller operable to control operation of the radiant burner in dependence upon combustion performance determined by the combustion characteristic monitor. Accordingly, aspects recognize that if a burner is suffering from an excessive flow of air the burner pad or combustion surface will typically cool, which results in an increase in unwanted emissions in the exhaust produced by a radiant burner. The cooling also results in a reduction in infrared radiation determined by the combustion surface.

  • Publication number: 20180135855
Abstract: A radiant burner and method are disclosed. The radiant burner is for treating an effluent gas stream from a manufacturing processing tool and comprises: a plurality of treatment chambers, each treatment chamber having an effluent stream inlet for supplying a respective portion of said effluent gas stream to that treatment chamber for treatment therewithin. In this way, multiple treatment chambers may be provided, each of which treats part of the effluent stream. Accordingly, the number of treatment chambers can be selected to match the flow rate of the effluent gas stream from any particular processing tool. This provides an architecture which is reliably scalable to suit the needs of any effluent gas stream flow rate.
