  • Publication number: 20240071552
Abstract: A multi-zone temperature testing system includes a test device having components, a multi-zone temperature testing device that is coupled to the test device and that includes a first thermoelectric module that is located adjacent a first subset of the components and a second thermoelectric module that is located adjacent a second subset of the components, and a temperature control subsystem that is coupled to the multi-zone temperature testing device. The temperature control subsystem controls the first thermoelectric module in the multi-zone temperature testing device to produce a first heat flux that provides a testing temperature for the first subset of the components, and controls the second thermoelectric module in the multi-zone temperature testing device to produce a second heat flux that is different than the first heat flux and that provides the testing temperature for the second subset of the components.

  • Patent number: 7559607
Abstract: An adjustable ergonomic back for a seat is disclosed. The back has a plurality of back cushions, each cushion having at least one adjustment area. It further comprises a structural shell having a plurality of voids therein. A plurality of thin flexible elements are located between the back cushions and the structural shell, each flexible element being attached to the structural shell. Each of the flexible elements has a front surface and a back surface, the front surface being in contact with a respective adjustment area of one of the plurality of back cushions. The back further has a plurality of actuators located between the flexible elements and the structural shell, each of the actuators being in contact with one of the respective back surfaces of the flexible elements and exerting a pressure on the back surface.

  • Patent number: 5685082
Abstract: An adjustable grade stick and method of using the same are used to identify a reference line. The grade stick has a shaft that is adjustable along its length. In a preferred embodiment, the shaft has two sections where one section lies within the other in a variably telescoping manner. A locking device is provided to lock the relative positions of the first and second sections of the shaft. A hook is located at one end of the shaft to mount the shaft on the ceiling of the mine tunnel. A sighting ring is located at the other end of the shaft and has an inner aperture which acts as a marker for a reference point. A calibration scale is located on the shaft for positioning the sighting means at a predetermined location. The reference line is sighted from the sighting rings of a pair of grade sticks.
