  • Publication number: 20250127667
Abstract: To provide access to individuals having mobility disabilities, an OEM battery electric vehicle may be modified to include one or more of a wheelchair ramp, a lowered floor, a lowered battery, an adjustable suspension, and supplemental impact protection. The adjustable suspension of the modified vehicle may be operated to position the body of the vehicle alternatively between a lowered position and a raised position. In the lowered position, at least one of the ramp angle and length may be reduced relative to a comparable ramp in the OEM vehicle. In the raised position, the vehicle ground clearance may be slightly less than, approximately equal to or greater than the ground clearance of the OEM vehicle at GVWR.

  • Publication number: 20240016674
Abstract: A wheelchair docking system including a frame having an upper portion and a lower portion, the upper portion being movable relative to the lower portion between a lowered position and a raised position. A coupler mechanism engages a wheelchair during a docking operation. The system also includes a first latching mechanism being movable between a retracted position and a latching position such that the first latching mechanism is spaced from the coupler mechanism. A second latching mechanism moves the upper portion of the frame between its lowered position and raised position. The first latching mechanism is partially retracted by a wheelchair during the docking operation, and the first latching mechanism is biased to its latching position when the coupler mechanism engages the wheelchair.

  • Publication number: 20230195455
Abstract: A computing system receives a data object representative of a code repository for an application. The data object includes source code of the application and artifacts for satisfying a governance policy defined by an entity of the computing system. The computing system causes the data object to be provided to an automation tool configured to build, test, and deploy the application. The computing system monitors reports generated during building and testing of the application. The monitoring includes checking the reports for compliance with the governance policy. The computing system generates a report listing a compliance status of the governance policy.

  • Patent number: 9789922
Abstract: A method of increasing a door opening width of a crossover vehicle to accommodate a wheelchair ramp or lift assembly. The method includes positioning a template on a B pillar and a template on a C pillar and marking cut lines on the pillars. The method includes cutting along the cut lines with a cutting tool to remove portions of the B pillar and the C pillar. A B pillar cover assembly is assembled and a reinforcement plate is coupled to a remaining portion of the C pillar. An adhesive is applied to the B pillar cover assembly and to a C pillar cap. A modified B pillar is produced by coupling the B pillar cover assembly to a remaining portion of the B pillar, and a modified C pillar is produced by coupling the C pillar cap to the reinforcement plate and the remaining portion of the C pillar.

  • Publication number: 20110022277
Abstract: A voice activated snow plow control that is both a safe and efficient means for plowing snow with a vehicle mounted snow plow. A laptop computer is connected to a headset and has voice recognition software installed that will control an application which is provided for the voice activated snow plow control. There is a rectangular box, the control module, which houses a microcontroller, a group of relays, and various discrete electrical components such as resistors, diodes, and transistors, which is connected to the laptop computer using, but is not limited to, rs232 serial communication. There is firmware provided for the microcontroller that controls the relays in the control module. The relays then connect to the existing snow plow's manual joystick control to simulate the joystick's snow plow control, which move the snow plow in the desired direction.
