  • Publication number: 20230043995
Abstract: A process (51) for producing alternan-oligosaccharide (8), comprising contacting in a reactor (11) sucrose (9) with a catalytically effective amount of alternansucrase enzyme (13) and acceptor molecules (12), wherein the alternansucrase enzyme (13) and acceptor molecules (12) are present in the reactor (11) in an aqueous liquid (4) and the sucrose (9) is continuously or half-continuously fed to the reactor (11), and wherein the sucrose (9) and the acceptor molecules (12) are converted to alternan-oligosaccharide (8), and fructose (6) is formed as a by-product, continuously or half-continuously removing at least a part of the fructose (6) from the reactor (11) by membrane filtration (17).

  • Publication number: 20220204960
Abstract: Proteases may include an amino acid sequence having at least 70% sequence identity with the amino acid sequence given in SEQ ID NO: 1 over its entire length and, in each case based on the numbering according to SEQ ID NO: 1, may include (i) amino acid substitutions, such as selected from amino acid substitutions 9T, 144K, 252T and 271E, at positions corresponding to positions 9, 144, 252 and 271, and (ii) at least one additional amino acid substitution at least at one of the positions corresponding to positions 53, 120, 131, 149, 159, 162, 166, 172, 189, 192, 211, 215, 217, 224 and 274. Production and use of said proteases are described herein. Proteases of this kind demonstrate very good stability with a good cleaning performance.

  • Publication number: 20220154110
Abstract: The invention relates to proteases comprising an amino acid sequence which has at least 70% sequence identity with the amino acid sequence given in SEQ ID NO:1 over its entire length and has, in each case based on the numbering according to SEQ ID NO:1, (i) amino acid substitutions, preferably selected from the amino acid substitutions 9T, 144K, 252T and 271E, at the positions corresponding to positions 9, 144, 252 and 271; and (ii) at least one further amino acid substitution at at least one of the positions corresponding to positions 18, 38, 48, 89, 101, 131, 145, 147, 149, 162, 166, 172, 189, 192, 205, 211, 215, 217, 218, 224 and 274. The invention also relates to the production and use of said proteases. Proteases of this type exhibit a very good cleaning performance.

  • Patent number: 8536314
Abstract: The present invention provides variants of fluorescent proteins, which are improved with regard to their properties for use as reporter proteins and/or in analytics. In particular, variants of fluorescent proteins are provided, which fluoresce brighter, show improved quantum yield and/or have shifted excitation or emission spectra. The fluorescent proteins according to the invention comprise in their LOV domain besides the substitution of a cysteine with an amino acid that does not covalently bind FMN at least one further point mutation.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 19, 2010
Date of Patent: September 17, 2013
    Assignee: Evocatal GmbH
