At least one of the media guide chains (12a, 12b) supports a plurality of electric lines and/or lines which guide media and extends from a fixed connection point (40a, 40b) into a loop, which comprises two compartments, to a connection point (41a, 41b) which is transported from the carriage (8). In order to keep the device as laterally compact as possible, at least two media guide chains (2a, 12b) are provided, whereby the loops thereof are arranged on top of each other.
