  • Patent number: 8408389
Abstract: A three piece sealed dispensing and storage cap that is inserted onto the neck of a liquid bearing container threaded neck of a bottle, said device being a storage chamber for sealably containing a liquid and/or dry material and a dispenser for releasing the material when desired into the primary container. The dispensing cap may include a desiccant to prevent moisture from reaching the storage chamber. The bottom seal that is frangible and ruptured to activate the device may include a line of weakening. The button top is depressed manually forcing an actuator against the bottom of the cap body seal to rip away the bottom seal dispensing the material. The present invention allows the use of materials that would discolor, degrade or interact with other substances when added to the contents of the bottle, to remain stable and/or inactive until the time of use.

  • Patent number: 8297456
Abstract: A three piece ingredient dispensing cap attachable a primary container including but not limited to the threaded circular opening of a bottle, said dispensing cap being a storage container or receptacle for sealably containing a liquid and/or dry material and a dispenser for releasing the material when desired into the primary container. The top of the dispensing cap is depressed manually forcing than ingredient storage chamber with like prongs against the bottom of the cap body seal ripping a portion away, dispensing the material. The top includes an opening or nipple valve to allow drinking through the dispensing cap. The present invention allows the use of materials that would discolor, degrade or interact with other substances when added to the contents of the bottle, to remain stable and/or inactive until the time of use.

  • Patent number: 7951109
Abstract: A storage and dispensing cap for a liquid receptacle having a cap body storage chamber for use with a receptacle such as a bottle, pouch or intravenous bag that is used to store a liquid for use with a syringe that is inserted into the receptacle for drawing the liquid contents into the syringe. A liquid, powder or capsule in the cap body chamber is mixed into the liquid receptacle for use with the syringe. A sleeve penetrator is mounted inside said cap body chamber and is sized in length to permit rupture of the bottom floor of said cap body chamber when manually depressed for dispensing whatever material is placed inside said cap body chamber and sleeve penetrator into said syringe bottle. An open passage from the cap body to the inside of the receptacle is provided once the storage chamber is ruptured by manually depressing the penetrator to allow the syringe needle end to be inserted into the liquid receptacle.
