  • Publication number: 20170298636
Abstract: Simulated log siding is formed of an engineered cementitious composite. Single or dual flanges on each log piece is used to apply siding units to a surface. Some siding members are molded into a three dimensional configuration to appear as a structural wood log. Individual end pieces and molded tail clusters when used with the siding provide the appearance of the characteristic stacked or staggered corners of a log structure.

  • Publication number: 20130213960
Abstract: A drinking glass assembly comprises a chaser glass, a chaser magnet, a shot glass, and a shot magnet. The chaser glass includes a sidewall and a base. The chaser magnet is positioned within the base of the chaser glass. The shot glass includes a sidewall and a base and is configured to fit within the chaser glass such that the base of the shot glass is positioned on the base of the chaser glass. The shot magnet is positioned within the base of the shot glass and oriented so as to attract the chaser magnet when the base of the shot glass is positioned on the base of the chaser glass.

  • Patent number: 6668262
Abstract: The invention is directed to techniques for modifying a database. A database manager receives operation entries to be applied to a database. The database manager generates an error detection value for each operation entry as it is received, and enters both the operation entry and its associated error detection value in a journal. The database manager then copies the database to another version of the database, checks the validity of each operation entry using the error detection value, and, if the operation entry is valid, updates the copied version of the database based on the operation entry. The database manager also generates an error detection value for the database after it has been updated with all the operation entries from the journal. If there is a data corruption event, such as a power failure, then the database manager uses the error detection values for the operation entries and for the database during the database recovery process.

  • Patent number: 5384889
Abstract: A heating device for recovering a heat-recoverable plastics sleeve about a portion of a wire harness comprises a housing having a heating location when the portion of the harness and heat-recoverable sleeve are introduced, and a heating unit that is movable between a rearward position in which it surrounds the heating location. The heating unit comprises a pair of heating jaws (5,5') that open as they move toward the heating location and then close as they arrive at it so that the portion of the harness to be heated is completely enclosed within the heating unit. The jaws open again when they recede from the heating location to allow the harness to be removed.
