  • Patent number: 11493666
Abstract: Currently available weather forecasts, which include a specific snowfall accumulation or range, do not convey the probability that snowfall will be within the forecasted snowfall accumulation range, probabilities of other snowfall accumulation amounts, or a forecaster's level of confidence. A snowfall probability distribution forecasting system is disclosed that uses a rules-based process to leverage third party weather forecasts, including members of ensemble forecasts, to generate snowfall probability distributions forecasting the most likely snowfall accumulation range, the probability that snowfall accumulation will be within the most likely snowfall accumulation range, and probabilities that snowfall accumulation will be outside of the most likely snowfall accumulation range. To ensure consistency with the deterministic forecast, the snowfall probability distribution may be shifted based on a deterministic forecast.

  • Patent number: 11402541
Abstract: A system and method for forecasting perceived transitions to the four annual seasons in geographic areas is disclosed. The perceived transitions are identified by comparing forecasted daily temperatures in each geographic area to thresholds generated based on normal daily temperatures in those geographic areas. The forecasted daily temperatures may be calculated using both forecasted temperatures and forecasted perceived ambient temperatures (calculated using both temperature and humidity, cloud cover, sun intensity, and/or wind speed).

  • Patent number: 11372132
Abstract: A system and method for outputting analysis regarding weather and/or environmental conditions at a venue for an event by determining correlations between the results of past events and historical weather and/or environmental conditions, determining current and/or forecasted weather and/or environmental conditions (for example, using a dense mesonet of sensors in and around an event/venue), and generating analysis based on the current and/or forecasted weather and/or environmental conditions and the correlations between the results of past events and the historical weather and/or environmental conditions.

  • Patent number: 11108582
Abstract: A method for providing information to a plurality of vendors located remotely from a broadcast network. A plurality of user-defined parameters are received by a user input database with at least one of the user-defined parameters including a user profile. Each of the user profiles includes a user identifier code identifying a communicator device associated with a particular user. Real-time data indicative of the spatial locations of the communicator devices is received by a communicator location database. Search information is received independently from a plurality of vendors and a data set is generated for each vendor.
