  • Publication number: 20150268048
Abstract: A system and method provide pseudo-speed/altitude constraints which are computed values associated with route legs and are used to enhance lateral and vertical trajectory construction for route legs of a published procedure.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 18, 2014
    Publication date: September 24, 2015
    Applicant: HONEYWELL INTERNATIONAL INC.
Inventors: Michael R. Seastrand, Jim Rumbo
  • Patent number: 7487039
Abstract: A system and method are provided for generating a flight plan between an initial position and a destination. An input device is configured to receive inputs related to the destination; a memory configured to store data related to the destination; and a processor is configured to retrieve data from the memory and to generate the flight plan from the initial position to the destination. The flight plan includes a plurality of legs and an initial plurality of transitions between the legs. The processor is further configured to determine whether each of the initial plurality of transitions between the legs are flyable and to provide a flyable transition between the legs if the transition is not flyable.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 16, 2006
Date of Patent: February 3, 2009
    Assignee: Honeywell International Inc.
Inventors: Jim R. Rumbo, Michael R. Seastrand, James K. Haberstock
