Abstract: A portable powered winch is provided suitable for coupling to a vehicle. The winch is comprised of a frame which mounts the winch and a housing. The housing houses a battery and mounts a control panel thereto. The frame has a mount for receiving a mounting tube of a vehicle, and is disconnectable when not desired for mounting and for use portably. A dolly may be included for transporting the winch.

Abstract: A vehicle is disclosed that includes a chassis, a traction device adapted to contact the ground and propel the chassis and an engine supported by chassis and providing power to traction device. The engine includes a housing, a lubricant, and an engine component external of the engine housing. The housing includes a first lubricant inlet passage, a first lubricant outlet passage, a second lubricant inlet passage, and a second lubricant outlet passage. The vehicle has a first configuration in which first the lubricant outlet passage provides lubricant to the external engine component, the first lubricant inlet passage receives the lubricant from engine component, the second lubricant outlet passage is blocked with a plug, and the second lubricant inlet passage is blocked with a plug.

Abstract: A continuously variable transmission (CVT) system for use on snowmobiles, ATV's and similar vehicles. The CVT includes a rotatable drive clutch connected to an input shaft (the input shaft being connectable to an engine), and a roller clutch carried on the input shaft. The CVT also includes a rotatable driven clutch connected to an output shaft, the driven clutch having a laterally stationary sheave and a laterally movable sheave that is normally biased toward the stationary sheave. An endless flexible drive belt is disposed about the drive and driven clutches. The clutches and drive belt are configured so that when the engine is idling the belt firmly engages a drive surface of the roller clutch that is connected to the drive clutch.
