  • Patent number: 11917404
Abstract: Methods for cellular network authentication utilizing unlinkable anonymous credentials are disclosed. In embodiments, a method includes: contacting, by a computing device, a mobile device network with a request to connect to the mobile device network; conducting, by the computing device, an interactive credential issuance protocol with an Issuer of the mobile device network to generate an unlinkable anonymous credential; and connecting, by the computing device, to the mobile device network based on a Verifier of the mobile device network verifying the computing device based on the unlinkable anonymous credential.

  • Patent number: 10298060
Abstract: An apparatus and method of wirelessly powering an aerospace vehicle while the vehicle is on the ground is provided to solve a problem of supplying electric power for aircraft while idling on taxiways. Present systems typically require fuel-driven auxiliary power units (APU's) to generate electricity. Running APU's to power aircraft while idling requires over 443 million gallons of jet fuel annually at a cost of $1.3 billion dollars. This results in an estimated 4.7 megatons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. At the gate, shore power is provided via hardline connection.

  • Patent number: 9892440
Abstract: A process for protecting against fraudulent transactions entails comparing a first serial code with a second serial code, as well as comparing a first user identification with a second user identification. An additional comparison between a first stock keeping unit code and a second stock keeping unit code can also be made. If any of the compared data items do not match, then a notice of denial is issued for the transaction. Exceptions can be made, for example by comparing a first listing timestamp with a second listing timestamp to determine that a second transaction is occurring within a defined time period such as a return period. Data is recognized by an optical reader utilizing optical character recognition, with read data being saved to a data record. Serial codes can be directly printed on products or instead applied as a tamper evident sticker.

  • Patent number: 7111318
Abstract: A method of performing work on a communication system in accordance with a work assignment includes a step of identifying a data file associated with the work assignment, the data file including subscription information and network location information. The method also includes a step of preparing at least a first set of test parameters for performing a network test, the first set of parameters based on, at least in part, the subscription information and the network location information. The test parameters are then communicated to a test device. Thereafter, the test device performs a first test using the first set of test parameters.

  • Patent number: 5453933
Abstract: A CNC machine tool control system that includes a controllable, movable tool for shaping a workpiece, a mechanism for receiving control instructions describing shaping functions to be performed on the workpiece, a processing unit and memory. The control systems includes objects defined according to an object oriented design. One type of object is a model of a shaping process to be performed on a workpiece, including informational parameters regarding the physical dimensions of the shape resulting from the process. The process objects communicates through an object oriented messaging system to machine objects, which represent physical devices present on the CNC machine on which the control system operates. The system also includes object oriented motion control and exception handler objects, each of which may communication with other object via object oriented messages.

  • Patent number: 4401494
Abstract: A reflective heat transfer combination and the method of making same whereby a tacky mixture of tack wax and mineral spirits defines a carrier layer applied over a paper substrate capable of absorbing the carrier layer when melted in response to heat and disposing a layer of glass beads over the carrier layer and forcing the glass beads into the carrier layer and against the paper substrate while allowing portions of the beads to be exposed above the carrier layer. A liquid binder layer of acrylic plastic is disposed around the beads and over the carrier layer while leaving portions of the beads exposed and is dried to retain the beads in position. Thereafter a liquid reflective coat of acrylic plastic is applied over the binder layer and covering the beads to provide a reflective background for reflecting light back through the beads. While the reflective coat is liquid and before being dried, a powdered adhesive is disposed over the reflective coat and thereafter the reflective coat is dried.

  • Patent number: 4071139
Abstract: A packaged T-shirt assembly is disclosed. A T-shirt with a design disposed on its front portion is placed against a glass top panel of a rectangular positioning box which has a fluorescent light therein. The rays of fluorescent light shine through the top panel and through the front and back portions of the shirt to isolate the design. The shirt is then moved so that the design is centered within the outer periphery of the top panel. A flat stiffener, such as a record album assembly or piece of packaging cardboard, is then placed over the back portion of the shirt. The side sections of the shirt are then folded around the edges of the stiffener and, thereafter, the bottom and top sections of the shirt are folded over or atop the side sections. Tape strips are used to secure the side sections to the back surface of the stiffener and the top and bottom sections together. A wrapper of transparent material is then disposed around the assembly to enclose the shirt and stiffener.
