  • Publication number: 20110227756
Abstract: A traffic calming (broadly defined as methods and apparatus for the purpose of reducing or otherwise controlling vehicle speeds and improving safety appropriate to the state of the road), cautioning, early warning and emergency notification system using secure wireless transmitters, receivers and transceivers for localized point to point notification. Static, desktop, portable and vehicle mounted transmitters/transceivers are automatically or manually triggered to transmit cautioning, early warning or emergency alert messages within a specified range to desktop, portable or vehicular-mounted receivers/transceivers, notifying the user of the receiver/transceiver of an approaching traffic calming or cautioning situation (children crossing, train crossing, construction detour, accident scene, etc.) or emergency situation (approaching emergency responder vehicle, such as police, firefighters, ambulance, etc).

  • Publication number: 20100242983
Abstract: A hair styling tool includes a body, a cylinder extending from the body, the cylinder rotatable relative to the body, a motor for rotating the cylinder, a heater to heat the cylinder, and a styling arm pivotally attached to the body. The hair styling tool may have a generally clam shell configuration, wherein the styling arm is movable between an open position in which the styling arm is distant the cylinder and a closed position in which the styling arm is proximate to the cylinder, such as contacting the cylinder. The styling arm may also include a brush head with fixed or retractable bristles and/or a smoothing plate.

  • Publication number: 20030131865
Abstract: A rotatable hair brush includes a core with a plurality of series of holes, each series displaced in an annular direction from the other series. Bristles are disposed in the holes. Dividers are disposed on the core between successive series of bristles. A support member holds the dividers. Detents on the support member, and on an end cap at the other end, and matching detents on the core retain the core fixedly relative to the dividers. A handle extending from the other end of the core and the dividers holds a battery and a motor for rotating the core and the dividers. The end cap and the portion of the handle adjacent the end cap are shaped to provide a smooth continuous surface (preferably concave) for preventing a user's hair from becoming entangled during the brush operation. An end cap covering the support member has a smooth continuous surface to prevent the user's hair from becoming entangled during the brush operation.
