  • Publication number: 20250051107
Abstract: In one embodiment, a service station for adjusting a transport unit of an electromagnetic transportation system is provided. The transport unit includes a base body, an encoder track connected to the base body for position determination, and a carrier unit for transporting objects, which is detachably connected to the base body of the transport unit. During usage in the transportation system, the transport unit is moved along a stator of the transportation system to move an object arranged on the carrier unit for processing between workstations of a production process. For the adjustment, the transport unit is moved into an adjustment area which is formed by an adjustment segment of the service station. The transport unit is positioned at an adjustment position in the adjustment area, and using a positioning device of the service station, the carrier unit and the encoder track are aligned relative to one another.

  • Publication number: 20240030797
Abstract: To control movement of a transport unit of a linear motor, a quality functional J(SG) with quality terms JTk(SG) is used as a function of manipulated variables (SG) of active drive coils. The quality functional J(SG) controlling movement of the transport unit along the stator is optimized with regard to the manipulated variable (SG) to determine optimal manipulated variables (SGopt) for the relevant time step of the control of movement, active drive coils are energized according to the determined optimal manipulated variables (SGopt), and at least two movement phases are provided during the movement of the transport unit along the stator. In the at least two movement phases, different quality functionals J(SG) are used for determining the optimal manipulated variables (SGopt), the different quality functionals J(SG) differing by the number k of the quality terms JTk(SG) used and/or by the quality terms JTk(SG) and/or by the weighting Factors kk.

  • Publication number: 20230361663
Abstract: A permanent magnet arrangement of a shuttle for a linear and/or planar motor. The permanent magnet arrangement includes a large number of permanent magnets arranged on at least one magnet area. The permanent magnets form an alternating sequence of magnetic strips of different polarities in a central region of the magnet area. At least one end magnet body is arranged at an edge of the magnet area between the central region and the edge and changes the course of the magnetic field formed by the permanent magnets in the central region, along the edge that varies over the length of the edge. The at least one edge has at least two polarity regions having different polarities, and the mutual attraction force between two identical permanent-magnet arrangements arranged next to one another with parallel edges is reduced by the changed magnetic field.

  • Patent number: 10407246
Abstract: In order to specify a transport apparatus in the form of a long stator linear motor, by which the negative effects of a non-uniform magnetic flux in the joint region between two adjacent transport segments can be at least alleviated, according to embodiments, the spacing between the coil center of an end coil of a transport segment and the relevant end of the transport segment is smaller than half the tooth pitch of the two adjacent end coils of the transport segments, the tooth pitch of the two adjacent end coils corresponding to the tooth pitch of the drive coils of at least one of the transport segments.

  • Publication number: 20190020249
Abstract: Procedure mounting at least one power electronic unit of a transport segment of a long-stator linear motor onto the transport segment. At least one socket is arranged on the transport segment to accommodate at least one contact element of the drive coil arranged in the socket. At least one clamping element is inserted into the socket with a clamping section. The contact element of the drive coil, while creating an electroconductive connection to the clamping section of the clamping element, is fixed into the socket by the clamping element. At least one contact point of the at least one power electronic unit, while creating an electroconductive connection, is connected directly to a connecting section of the clamping element. The contact element is first arranged in the socket, then the clamping element is inserted into the socket, and then the contact point is connected directly to the connecting section.
