  • Publication number: 20190107846
Abstract: A system for management and control of vehicles is disclosed. In one example, the system manages and controls air traffic of aerial vehicles such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The vehicular system includes vehicles including sensors for gathering sensor data, and a distributed control system that controls and manages the vehicles using the sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20080135296
Abstract: A coated drill pipe for use in drilling ground such as in rotary drilling for explorative geophysics and associated methods and systems are disclosed and described. A protective coating can be coated over at least a portion of an exterior or interior surface of the drill pipe. The protective coating can include a polyurea such as an aromatic polyurea, a silicone modified polyurea, or an aluminized polyurea. Drill pipes can be shielded by coating a drill pipe with a polyurea composition such as by spray coating. In connection with suitable systems and coated or uncoated well casings, these coated drill pipes can perform for dramatically extended periods of time over conventional drill pipes.

  • Publication number: 20080105997
Abstract: Methods for enhancing the sealing potential of a formable, disposable tooling core for use in the fabrication of composite articles, the method comprising obtaining a pre-formed tooling core from a mold, the tooling core having a prepared working surface; applying a liquid prepolymer mixture configured for rapid polymerization at ambient conditions over at least a portion of the working surface; and rapidly polymerizing the prepolymer mixture to form a non-porous sealant over the portion of the working surface. Also, methods for manufacturing tooling members and composite articles utilizing a disposable tooling core.

  • Publication number: 20080106007
Abstract: An improved reusable vacuum bag for use in the manufacture of fiber-reinforced composite components, wherein a polyurea-based prepolymer mixture is applied to a prepared surface, such as the surface of an open mold, and allowed to rapidly polymerize under ambient conditions to form the reusable vacuum bag. The polyurea-based prepolymer is made by combining an isocyanate component with a resin blend component, and preferably mixed and dispensed using a spray device. The prepolymer mixture forms a coating that quickly polymerizes at ambient conditions into a flexible vacuum bag having a shape conforming to the receiving surface. The vacuum bag, once formed, may be used repeatedly to fabricate a plurality of composite parts.

  • Publication number: 20080008836
Abstract: A method for enhancing the vacuum integrity and extending the useful life of a mold-type forming tool operable with negative pressure, the method comprising: (a) preparing a surface of the tool to receive a sealing coating thereon; (b) optionally applying a primer material to the surface; (c) obtaining a sealing coating having a formulation comprising a urea and polyurethane composition; (d) applying the sealing coating to the surface, over the primer material, prior to the primer material drying, the primer material interacting with and facilitating a bond of the sealing coating to the surface; and (e) curing the sealing coating to effectuate the bond between the sealing coating and the surface, and to seal the surface.

  • Publication number: 20060266472
Abstract: Vacuum bagging methods, systems and compositions are provided with enhanced sealing capabilities. Generally, the system and method of the present invention provide for applying a sufficient amount of a sealing layer of resin onto at least one structural component of a vacuum bagging system, over a primer material, which sealing layer can be configured to increase vacuum bagging seal integrity.

  • Patent number: 6971883
Abstract: The trailer electrical connector enclosure may be used for retaining and protecting an electrical connector on towing vehicles. An enclosure may have a first enclosure element and a second enclosure element attached by a fastener. The first enclosure element and the second enclosure element may have a main wall, two side wall elements and a back wall element. The main wall element may have a connector portion, an outwardly expanding portion and a rectangular portion having an open end. A cover may be pivotally attached to a side wall of the enclosure biased by a spring for closure of the open end portions. A clamp pedestal may be attached to an interior surface of the main wall and a back wall may have an aperture.
