  • Patent number: 11435402
Abstract: A method of monitoring a machine is described. The machine includes a mechanical system moved by a motor, where the mechanical system has more than two components coupled to each other. The two or more components move differently when the mechanical system is driven by the motor. The method includes repeatedly determining one movement factor of one of the components, and repeatedly determining one dynamic factor of one of the components. The movement factors of the remaining components are then calculated via a model of the mechanical system, and separate parameters for the components of the mechanical system are determined from the movement factor, the dynamic factor, and the calculated movement factors.

  • Publication number: 20210039319
Abstract: Beginning on a starting area on a surface of a digital model, a layered subdivision of the model takes place to produce a three-dimensional object. Positioning of the layers on the starting area is based on calculation of a distance field, which assigns to each point of the model volume a shortest distance within the volume to the nearest starting area. For each discrete point of a layer defined by a distance field an orientation of a processing head is determined. The surface normal of the layer is calculated or gradient vectors of the distance field are calculated, which show a direction of the steepest rise in distances for the discrete point. Shape and distribution of layers conform to the shape of the digital model. The sequence for the adaptive construction results from the assignment of the layers to distance values, beginning with a lowest distance value in ascending order.

  • Publication number: 20150015049
Abstract: A head restraint assembly is provided with at least one guide post fixedly mounted to a vehicle seat back so that the guide post does not translate relative to the seat back in an upright direction. A head restraint housing is mounted to translate in the upright direction along the guide post. A linear spindle extends in the upright direction and is mounted within the head restraint housing. A translation assembly is mounted to the linear spindle. A motor is connected to the translation assembly. Actuation of the motor moves the translation assembly and motor in relation to the linear spindle. At least one of the motor or linear spindle is fixed to the head restraint housing such that actuation of the motor translates the head restraint housing relative to the guide post.

  • Patent number: 8900334
Abstract: The goal of the invention consists in making available a method for supplying fuel to a pressurized gasification system, which ensures, in economically efficient manner, that the emission of pollutants from the coal transfer and the transport is minimized or completely avoided. This is achieved in that a gas that contains at least 10 ppm vol. CO is used for transfer and/or conveying, whereby a gas that contains oxygen is mixed into this gas, and that this gas mixture is heated to a temperature that oxidizes at least 10% of the pollutants contained in the gas.

  • Patent number: 8512444
Abstract: With a method and a system for treatment of a hot crude gas generated by an entrained flow gasification system, removal of the compounds that contain sulfur and carbon is supposed to be undertaken in such a manner that hot gas is made available for further use. This is achieved in that a desulfurization (7) follows the gasifier (2), in series, in the flow path of the hot gas, followed by a solid separation (8, 9), whereby behind the solid separation (8, 9), a partial stream (13) of the gas is provided downstream by way of a water quench (14), a Venturi scrubber (15), a crude gas cooler (16), as well as an H2O separation (17) and a compressor (18), the flow path (19) of which is passed back, cooled, into the circuit, behind the gasification (2) and ahead of the desulfurization system.

  • Patent number: 8255840
Abstract: Design-specific attributes of a circuit (such as timing, power, electro-migration, and signal integrity) are used to automatically identify one or more regions of one or more layers in a layout of the circuit. The automatically identified regions may be provided to a manufacturing tool in GDSII by use of overlapping shapes in, or alternatively by moving existing shapes to, a different layer/datatype pair. For example, information about the automatically identified regions may be stored using a conventional datatype (e.g. value 0) with a new layer, or alternatively using a conventional layer (e.g. metal 3) with a new datatype (e.g. value 1), depending on the embodiment. The automatically identified regions contain cells and/or features (e.g. groups of shapes and/or individual shapes) whose tolerance in silicon (to be fabricated) is automatically changed from default, based on the design-specific attribute(s) and sensitivity thereto, expressed as design intent by a circuit designer.
