  • Publication number: 20200410969
Abstract: An accessory for modifying sound output of a musical instrument. The body of the instrument has a soundboard. The accessory includes a sound sensor, an actuator, a fastener, and a controller. The sound sensor engages the body and senses vibration of the body representing the sound output of the musical instrument. The actuator engages the soundboard and deforms the soundboard of the musical instrument so as to modify the sound output of the musical instrument. The sound sensor is preferably arranged distally to the actuator. The fastener engages the accessory to the musical instrument, to locate the actuator against the soundboard of the musical instrument. The controller is connected to the actuator and the sound sensor for receiving and analysing the sound output sensed by the sound sensor, and controlling the actuator in dependence on the sound output sensed by the sound sensor.

  • Patent number: 10876467
Abstract: A method for controlling an inlet-adjustment mechanism in an air inlet for a compressor so as to switch the mechanism between open and closed positions for adjusting a flow area of the inlet. The method includes an algorithm for determining when the inlet-adjustment mechanism is in a failure mode. In accordance with the method, when the operating point on the compressor map is on the high-flow side of a threshold line at which the inlet-adjustment mechanism is switched from one position to the other, a measured speed or pressure ratio is compared to a theoretical value for the speed or pressure ratio based on a compressor map for the open position of the mechanism. If the measured value differs from the theoretical value by more than a predetermined tolerance, a failure mode is indicated.

  • Publication number: 20200392702
Abstract: A hydraulic circuit for a pair of cylinders of an articulation system includes a pump, a reservoir, a directional control valve (DCV), a pair of actuator valves (AVs) and an articulation charge circuit (ACC). The DCV is fluidly coupled to the pump, the reservoir and the pair of cylinders via a supply line, a fluid return line and a pair of cylinder supply lines (CSLs) respectively. Each CSL has a load check valve (LCV) therein. The AVs are fluidly coupled with the DCV and the pump via a pilot supply line (PSL) for actuating movement of the DCV. The ACC, associated with the PSL and each cylinder supply line downstream of the associated LCV, charges a corresponding CSL with fluid from the PSL for increasing a pressure in the corresponding CSL when the pressure in the corresponding CSL falls below the pressure of fluid associated with the PSL.

  • Publication number: 20200396210
Abstract: An apparatus includes a memory and a hardware processor. The memory stores identification information of a user. The processor receives from a device a request for the identification information of the user and in response to the request, appends a data element to the identification information to produce a protected message. The processor also encrypts the protected message to produce an encrypted message and communicates the encrypted message to the device. The data element executes in response to the encrypted message being decrypted, and the data element encrypts the identification information when the data element executes.
