  • Patent number: 11806931
Abstract: A bulk ink bag system in a composite-based additive manufacturing process (CBAM) keeps the inkjet heads (cartridges) on printers filled to the proper level of fluid at all times while the process runs. The system includes gravity fed fluid delivery without requiring pumps; is simple to connect and disconnect to system plumbing; has the ability to change ink bags without interrupting the print job or introducing air bubbles into the ink supply; and has the ability to disconnect partially used bags and reconnect them later.

  • Patent number: 10854491
Abstract: A method and apparatus for of improving processing results in a processing chamber by orienting a substrate support relative to a surface within the processing chamber. The method comprising orienting a supporting surface of a substrate support in a first orientation relative to an output surface of a showerhead, where the first orientation of the supporting surface relative to the output surface is not coplanar, and depositing a first layer of material on a substrate disposed on the supporting surface that is oriented in the first orientation.

  • Patent number: 9484183
Abstract: An ion implantation apparatus including an enclosure defining a process chamber, a carriage slidably mounted on a shaft within the process chamber and coupled to a drive mechanism adapted to selectively move the carriage along the shaft. A platen assembly can be coupled to the carriage, and a linkage conduit can extend between a side wall of the enclosure and the carriage. The linkage conduit can include a plurality of pivotably interconnected linkage members that define a contiguous internal volume that is sealed from the process chamber. The contiguous volume can be held at a desired vacuum pressure separate from the vacuum environment of the process chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050023368
Abstract: A method of determining design parameters for a design of a spray dispenser assembly for dispensing a mist. The method includes identifying one or more preferred performance characteristics of the spray dispenser to be designed and identifying design variables of structures of a spray dispenser assembly that affect those performance characteristics. The method also includes obtaining test data indicative of performance characteristics of spray dispensers at different combinations of values of the design variables. To achieve an improved dispenser design, design parameters are defined for the identified design variables based on the test data. The design parameters provide the preferred performance characteristics when embodied in a spray dispenser.

  • Patent number: 6758613
Abstract: A method and system for environmental control in film processing is disclosed. In general, photographic film is coated with a processing solution, such as a developer solution, and is then developed within a controlled air environment. In the preferred embodiments, the temperature and humidity within the air environment is strictly controlled, which allows the development process to be more accurately and consistently controlled. This also allows fewer processing chemicals to be used and reduces harmful effluents caused by photographic film processing.
