  • Publication number: 20250009118
Abstract: An oral care implement that includes a handle and an oral care refill head. The oral care refill head is alterable between a first state in which it is separated from the handle and a second state in which it is coupled to the handle. The oral care refill head has a proximal edge surface that defines an opening into a sleeve cavity. The proximal edge surface may be inclined in one direction only as it extends from an inner edge surface to an outer edge surface. The handle may have a gripping portion and a stem, with a distal end of the gripping portion forming an annular shoulder surface that surrounds the stem. The annular shoulder surface may be inclined in one direction only as it extends from an inner shoulder edge adjacent to the stem to an outer shoulder edge adjacent to an outer surface of the handle.

The oral care refill head is alterable between a first state in which it is separated from the handle and a second state in which it is coupled to the handle. The oral care refill head has a proximal edge surface that defines an opening into a sleeve cavity. The proximal edge surface is inclined with radial distance from a cavity axis of the sleeve cavity. Similarly, the handle has a gripping portion that terminates at a distal end and a stem that protrudes from the distal end. The annular shoulder that is inclined downwardly and away from a stem to facilitate mating of the oral care refill head to the handle. The oral care refill head may have features for securing the oral care refill head to the stem of the handle.

  • Patent number: 11338485
Abstract: A method of forming a handle for an oral care implement. The method may include first forming a core structure out of a first hard plastic. Next, an elongated handle body may be formed out of a second hard plastic, whereby during formation the elongated handle body is made to partially surround the core structure, while leaving opposing surfaces of the core structure exposed. Finally, a grip cover may be formed out of a resilient material and positioned over at least a portion of the elongated handle body. The oral care implement handle formed by the method may include a handle having an elongated handle body and a core structure. The elongated handle body may have openings in opposing surfaces. The core structure may be partially surrounded by the elongated handle body while protruding from the openings.

  • Patent number: 11161287
Abstract: A method of forming an oral care implement, a method of forming a head plate for an oral care implement, and an oral care implement or head plate formed therefrom. The head plate may have micro-sized or fine features. The method may include providing an amount of a first solid material upstream of a first mold cavity; prior to the first solid material entering the first mold cavity, applying ultrasonic energy to the first solid material to melt the first solid material into a first molten material; flowing the first molten material into the first mold cavity; allowing the first molten material to harden within the first mold cavity to form a head plate comprising micro-sized features; forming a body from a second material, the body including a handle portion and a head portion; and coupling the head plate to the head portion of the body.

  • Patent number: 10953697
Abstract: A tire for sand traction includes a ground-engaging tread that is disposed radially outwardly of a wheel. Structural elements extend radially between the wheel and the tread. The tread includes an inboard shoulder and an outboard shoulder. The tread is formed with a recess wall that extends laterally between the inboard shoulder and the outboard shoulder. The recess wall is disposed radially inwardly of the inboard shoulder and the outboard shoulder to form a central recess. The tire also includes a plurality of circumferentially-spaced, laterally-extending lugs. Each lug extends across the central recess from the inboard shoulder to the outboard shoulder.

  • Patent number: 10912378
Abstract: A fluid delivery apparatus including a reservoir containing at least one fluid. A capillary channel extends from the reservoir to deliver the fluids stored in the reservoir through one or more fluid outlets via capillary action. In one embodiment, an applicator formed of a capillary material is located within the outlet. A variety of fluids can be administered for therapeutic, hygienic, and/or other benefits. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a housing defining a reservoir; at least one fluid stored in the reservoir; and a capillary channel in fluid coupling with the at least one fluid, the capillary channel including a first capillary member and a second capillary member that circumferentially surrounds the first capillary member such that the first and second capillary members are concentric.

  • Patent number: 10786071
Abstract: An oral care implement having a multi-component handle. The oral care implement may include a head and a handle. The handle may have a front surface, a rear surface, and opposing first and second lateral surfaces. The handle may include an elongated handle body, a grip cover, and a transparent component. The elongated handle body and the grip cover may be opaque. The elongated handle body may form a portion of the front surface of the handle and the grip cover may form a portion of the rear surface of the handle. The transparent component may form a portion of each of the first and second lateral surfaces of the handle. Thus, the transparent component may form a window through the lateral surfaces of the handle.
