Abstract: A dishwasher and a method for detecting the quantity of dishes in the washing container of the dishwasher are provided. The method includes detecting data relating to the motor operation of a circulating pump and detecting data relating to the heat increase in the dishwasher during a pre-washing phase and a heating phase and comparing the detected data with stored target values. A quantity value for the quantity of dishes in the washing container is set based upon a comparison of the detected data with stored target values. The method also includes adapting the washing program according to the set dishes quantity value.

Abstract: A washing container for a dishwashing machine simplified by attaching at least one cover piece with sidepieces connected at angles to a base frame. The washing container can be assembled in a simpler, less expensive manner.

Abstract: A method and a device are provided for detecting the position of a closure element of a movement reversal device in a dishwasher. The device determines the position of a closure element via a comparison of a value corresponding to a predefined reference position of the closure element with a signal value of a circulation pump of the dishwasher.

Abstract: An insert having insert compartments separated from one another by separating walls with at least two insert compartments provided with compartment floors, arranged in different heights, for loading different silverware pieces and/or small dishes. The silverware pieces and/or the small dishes may, depending on their respective length/size/shape, be loaded into the insert compartment having the corresponding compartment floor positioned in a suitable height, so that they stand on the compartment floor and are no longer required to be hung.

Abstract: A dishwasher, the program control of which permits the installation of the program control module in the dishwasher, a subsequent programming of the program control and a change to the rinse program sequence pre-programmed in the program control. An electronic program control for the control of rinsing program sequences is provided with a programmable control module and includes an interface, for the external programming of at least one rinsing program sequence, carried out by the program control, which may be directly contacted from outside the dishwasher. By integrating an interface that may be directly contacted from outside the dishwasher, for the external programming of rinsing program sequences in the control module of the program control, the program control can be installed in the dishwasher without pre-programming and programmed in a final step, or after the production of the dishwasher.

Abstract: An electric interface for water-bearing household devices is provided comprising a program control for economically controlling, in a flexible and modular arrangement, hydraulic and electrical components which are required for the operational control of the water-bearing household device. At least one part of the electronic components and the magnetic valve is integrated into a component group that is connected to the program control of the water-bearing device. The necessary electric connections are reduced between the individual magnetic valves and the program control due to the integration of hydraulic magnetic valves with electronic components that are used to control the magnetic valves in a component group. The complexity of the cable form for the electric connection of the hydraulic component and the electronic components is reduced, thus enabling modular construction of the related components. The equipment of the component groups can be varied according to each household device design.

Abstract: A method for adapting a rinsing program in a dishwasher machine, and a dishwashing machine configured to perform the method, the method enabling the rinsing program run of a dishwasher machine to be adapted in such a way that satisfactory cleaning and drying performances are achieved even when using a combination rinse aid. To this end, the rinsing program run is adapted if there is insufficient salt, if the softening device is switched off, and if the dishwasher machine is on.

Abstract: A dishwasher is provided having a washing container for retaining therein objects to be washed by the dishwasher and a system for drying objects to be washed. The system for drying objects to be washed includes a heat generator for heating at least part of the air present in the dishwasher and a humidity sensor that detects the humidity of at least part of the air present in the dishwasher, such that only the amount of energy that is actually required for optimal drying is supplied in the form of heat energy for drying.
