  • Patent number: 8293022
Abstract: A dishwasher and a method for detecting the quantity of dishes in the washing container of the dishwasher are provided. The method includes detecting data relating to the motor operation of a circulating pump and detecting data relating to the heat increase in the dishwasher during a pre-washing phase and a heating phase and comparing the detected data with stored target values. A quantity value for the quantity of dishes in the washing container is set based upon a comparison of the detected data with stored target values. The method also includes adapting the washing program according to the set dishes quantity value.

  • Patent number: 8197610
Abstract: An electric interface for water-bearing household devices is provided comprising a program control for economically controlling, in a flexible and modular arrangement, hydraulic and electrical components which are required for the operational control of the water-bearing household device. At least one part of the electronic components and the magnetic valve is integrated into a component group that is connected to the program control of the water-bearing device. The necessary electric connections are reduced between the individual magnetic valves and the program control due to the integration of hydraulic magnetic valves with electronic components that are used to control the magnetic valves in a component group. The complexity of the cable form for the electric connection of the hydraulic component and the electronic components is reduced, thus enabling modular construction of the related components. The equipment of the component groups can be varied according to each household device design.

  • Publication number: 20110265827
Abstract: A dishwasher, wherein a duct system has a function describing a pressure difference in dependence on the rotational speed of the circulating pump and having a lower rotational speed range in which the pressure difference changes at most in proportion to the rotational speed of the circulating pump and an upper rotational speed range in which the pressure difference changes more than in proportion to the rotational speed of the circulating pump; and wherein the control device has a first rinsing program in which the circulating pump is operated at a normal cleaning rotational speed for normal cleaning of the rinsing stock and a second rinsing program in which the circulating pump is operated at an intensive cleaning rotational speed higher than the normal cleaning rotational speed and lying in the upper rotational speed range for intensive cleaning of the rinsing stock.

  • Patent number: 8025742
Abstract: A dishwasher is provided having a controller for switching on or off, or for selection of operational functions for the dishwasher, the controller thus providing improved ease of operation and being relatively unaffected by wear and contamination. The controller has at least one touch-sensitive surface with switching functions allocated to at least one operating function, whereby the switching functions of the touch-sensitive surface may be operated with a light contact and the relevant operating function is then switched on or off, or selected. The touch-sensitive surface of the controller preferably reacts to the change in the electromagnetic field, resulting from a touching of the touch-sensitive surface, whereupon the relevant operating function is switched on or off, or selected. Improved ease of use may be achieved, whereby only a slight effort is required for selection, or to switch on a particular rinsing program, or operating function on the controller.

  • Patent number: 7909045
Abstract: An adding device for dishwashers includes a fillable supply chamber for receiving a tablet-type detergent or rinsing agent. The supply chamber is arranged and configured in such a way that, when the adding device is in an operational position in the dishwasher, the detergent or rinsing agent can escape from the supply chamber into the rinsing area in a non-impeded manner in the direction of gravity. As a result, no substantial detergent residues remain in the supply chamber after the cleaning or rinsing program has come to an end. This results in the addition of cleaner into the dishwasher in an improved, reliable manner.
