  • Publication number: 20030036111
Abstract: The present application relates to a mitochondrial deoxynucleotide carrier (DNC) which transports deoxynucleoside diphosphates, wherein said carrier: a) catalyses the exchange of dATP for dADP or ADP with first-order kinetics and a rate constant of 0.02 min−1; b) has a pH optimum at pH 6.8; and c) exchanges dATP more efficiently from dNDPs than for NTPs, dNTP, dNMPs and pyrophosphate, as well as to the use of such a carrier in the design of nucleoside analogue drugs.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 7, 2001
    Publication date: February 20, 2003
