    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of controlling a paging admission rate in a signaling control node of a wireless communication network. After execution of paging message transactions into the wireless communication network, a success rate is determined as ratio of paging messages forwarded to a paging area of the wireless communication network and number of successfully received paging messages. Even if the success rate is below a predetermined lower paging success rate limit, paging message transactions will be continued as long as a certain amount of paging success is maintained.
