Patent number: 11263600Abstract: The present automated trustee payments system implements a series of automated processes which significantly reduce, and in many cases, eliminate a creditor user's work that is required to accurately and timely process incoming Chapter 13 Trustee remittances. The automated trustee payments system also effects application of the funds to the proper bankrupt debtor accounts and accounts for the funds against the proper creditor's loan account segments (e.g., the bankruptcy estate pre-petition indebtedness or the post-petition ongoing payments).Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2016Date of Patent: March 1, 2022Assignee: 4 S TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: W. C. Taylor, III, Michael S. Ackerman

Patent number: 10885067Abstract: Data gathering and re-presentation tools provided by a service to a client organization enable data to be acquired in an automated manner from a multiplicity of systems (e.g., proprietary databases and other data storage, handling, and management systems) and then re-present the acquired data in any layout and in format in accordance with specifications provided by the client and/or third party. The tools execute routines to validate the acquired data to ensure its completeness and logical accuracy as well as enrich the data with data from other sources or data that is derived from the acquired data. The processed data is organized and transformed into specified end states and routed to appropriate recipients in the client organization.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2018Date of Patent: January 5, 2021Inventors: W. C. Taylor, III, Michael S. Ackerman, Devlin P. McConagly

Publication number: 20160163006Abstract: Data mining and logic-checking tools provided by a service to a client organization enable fractal data comparison and analysis and a logic-based data derivation. The tools are configured to interface with websites which have data that typically is 1) required and missing from a client organization's database, 2) used to validate pre-existing data in a user's database, or 3) used to derive new data for a user's database. For data acquisition, the tools interface with sources of data which, typically, do not offer an application programming interface (API) for non-human access to the data. The tools may execute routines to validate the acquired data to ensure its completeness and logical accuracy as well as enrich the data with data from other sources or data that is derived from the acquired data. The processed data is organized and transformed into specified end states and routed to appropriate recipients.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 9, 2013Publication date: June 9, 2016Inventors: W. C. Taylor, III, Michael S. Ackerman, Devlin P. McConagly

Patent number: 8977692Abstract: Automated handling of a notification from a federal court is provided in which its disposition is determined responsively to data contained in the notification, or to data that relates to a matter referred to in the notification. In an illustrative example, an email application identifies an email as a bankruptcy notification. An automated notification handling system enhances the data in the notification email by supplementing the notification email data with related data that is matched from a case management system database, and further follows links in the notification email to download documents that are filed with the court. The documents are copied to storage or appended to the enhanced notification email data. The disposition of the notification is determined by invoking rules responsively to the enhanced notification email data which is then sent, using rules-based routing, to an appropriate destination to be handled, stored or deleted as required.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2006Date of Patent: March 10, 2015Assignee: 4 S Technologies, LLCInventors: Michael S. Ackerman, Harold Shanske, Richard Baylor, James J. Polera, Nathan Brenner, Frances Bell, Daniela Sellinger, Kathleen M. Barnum, W. C. Taylor, III

Patent number: 8874476Abstract: A filing system is configured for automating filings through an electronic submission portal (such as a CM/ECF web portal) by acquiring relevant data from one or more sources (such as a user's system database) and then initiating and completing submission portal-compatible filings using the acquired data through the application of a variety of logic, document templates, rules, text, variables, macros, and/or search strings.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2009Date of Patent: October 28, 2014Assignee: 4 S Technologies, LLCInventors: W.
