    Abstract: A spinal interbody cage implant includes a cage, an endplate, and flexible barbs. The endplate is separately attached to the cage and is configured to receive, hold and direct a flexible barb into an upper vertebral surface and a flexible barb into a lower adjacent vertebral surface. Each proximal leg of the cage is configured to receive the endplate, and has a lateral bore that receives a pin which retains the endplate. The endplate directs a first flexible barb upwardly toward an upper vertebral surface, and directs a second flexible barb downwardly toward a lower vertebral surface. Each flexible barb has a proximal head, a shaft extending from the head with a bore extending from the head to its distal end. Teeth are provided along the exterior surface of the shaft with two flats disposed on opposite sides thereof with a slit extending from the distal end towards the head.

    Abstract: Hand orthotics are provided for protecting and/or supporting phalanges, metacarpals and/or ligaments of the hand providing thin, lightweight, moldable devices that form to the digits of and to the hand to provide shock absorption and limited range of motion in flexion and extension movements of the digits of the hand, but mitigate or prevent hyperextension. Each orthotic has several plates of thermal plastic, pre-molded carbon fiber or the like that are generally, if not entirely, inflexible and interlinked through limited range of motion hinges, overlapping, and/or abutting plates that accommodate stability and protection. The plates are contained within, on top, underneath, or permutations of these, a form fitting material (e.g. neoprene or vinyl) to maintain a tight fit to the hand, digits and wrist. A thumb plate is hinged to an upper or lower hand plate of the device and includes a loop for receiving the thumb.

    Abstract: An implant and method for spinal facet joint stabilization uses a wedge and plate adapted to accept prongs of a surgical instrument for installing the implant into a posterior spinal facet joint. The wedge has an anterior end with a threaded bore. A notch in each lateral side of the plate aligns with a groove in each lateral side of the wedge. Each notch and groove pair receives a prong of the surgical instrument to hold the wedge and plate during implantation. A superior tube of the surgical instrument supports a superior rod having an end configured for installing a bone screw attaching the plate to the superior vertebra of the spinal facet joint. An inferior tube of the surgical instrument supports an inferior rod having an end configured to attach to the threaded bore of the wedge along with the plate during introduction of the implant into the spinal facet joint, and installing the set screw to attach the plate to the wedge.

The button incorporates knurling on its distal end to fixate onto bone, a center hole, a spherical pocket to mate with the bone screw for stabilization, and a proximal retention structure to mate with the cap. The bone screw incorporates distal bone (cortical) threads or threading, a spherical head, and a drive structure used to insert the bone screw through the hole of the button and into the bone (e.g. a distal segment of the first metatarsal). The cap incorporates a distal mating structure that retains the cap onto the button, a proximal smooth spherical head that mates with the distal surface of the bone (e.g. a phalange bone), and a tang that prevents rotation after implantation.

The laminar fixation implant has a hook at one end thereof that defines an arcuate pocket for holding a spine rod, a threaded angled bore with a set screw that contacts and fixes a spine rod received in the arcuate pocket, a passage extending through the hook for receiving laminar fixation tape, and a fixation plate disposed in a sidewall of the arcuate pocket of the hook and abutting the passage, whereby pressure exerted on the fixation plate by the spine rod presses against and fixes the laminar fixation tape in the passage relative to the laminar fixation implant.

The C1 component has two wings each of which retains a rod holder that rotates and translates for capturing a C2 component rod. Each C2 component receives and secures the transverse connector which holds position of the C2 components relative to one another.
