  • Patent number: 11929160
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving a signal associated with a characteristic of an actuation event of a medicament delivery device. The method includes establishing a communications link (e.g., via a short-range wireless protocol), between a mobile computing device and a medicament delivery device. A wireless first signal associated with a first motion profile of the medicament delivery device is then received from the medicament delivery device. A second signal associated with a second motion profile of the mobile computing device is generated. The method then includes producing a notification via the mobile computing device when A) a magnitude of the first motion profile is outside of a first threshold and B) a magnitude of the second motion profile is outside of a second threshold.

  • Patent number: 6116676
Abstract: A folding tailgate seat has a seat (1) and a back support (2) that are foldable to parallel verticality for non-use positioning and unfoldable on a seat hinge (3) to position the seat selectively horizontal and the back support selectively vertical for seating use. At least one non-marring contractional hook (4) is fixable with preferably interchangeability to either a bottom (5) of the seat for a seat-attachment mode or to a back (6) of the back support for a back-attachment mode. In the seat-attachment mode, the non-marring contractional hook is fixable to a horizontally positional vehicle wall such as a tailgate (7) of a pickup truck or of a sports utility vehicle in a lowered horizontal attitude for use of the seat or in a raised vertical attitude of the tailgate for non-use of the seat.

  • Patent number: 5761084
Abstract: Heavily relied upon network devices require backup power systems. To efficiently allocate power, a highly programmable backup power system is desired. The present invention discloses a redundant power supply unit that provides backup power to network devices. The redundant power supply unit will supply power to the network devices in the case that their local internal power supplies fail. Furthermore, if there is a power outage from the utility company, the redundant power supply will supply power to the network devices from a internal battery pack. When the internal battery pack is engaged, the redundant power supply uses programmed control logic that controls how the power from internal battery pack will be allocated. Specifically, since the power from the batteries is limited, it can be used to power some network devices for a certain amount of time and other network devices for a longer amount of time.

  • Patent number: 5374124
Abstract: A loudspeaker system overcomes disadvantages of prior art systems. To adjust for undesirable room acoustics, high frequency slope compensation is provided which reaches its plateau well beyond the highest audible frequency, providing a more accurate audio reproduction. Electronic filtering increases the high frequency components beyond the audible range, to drive a single set of high frequency acoustical drivers to properly compensate for high frequency attenuation due to room acoustics. Alternatively, a dedicated high frequency acoustical driver provides the high frequency emphasis to compensate for room acoustics, with another set of high frequency acoustical drivers accurately reproducing the audio signal.

  • Patent number: 5130012
Abstract: A fluidized catalytic cracking process using a high efficiency regenerator comprising a coke combustor, a dilute phase transport riser, and a second fluidized bed with catalyst recirculation to the coke combustor, is operated to reduce NO.sub.x emissions in the regenerator flue gas. The amount of catalyst recirculation from the second fluidized bed to the coke combustor or combustion air addition or preferably both are adjusted based on continuous or periodic measurement of a process parameter of the FCC regenerator which directly or indirectly measures the NO.sub.x content of regenerator flue gas. Operation with restricted air or catalyst recirculation degrades coke combustor operation, shifts some regeneration to downstream portions of the regenerator, and reduces NO.sub.x emissions.

  • Patent number: 4046690
Abstract: Solids such as char, ash, and refractory organic compounds are removed from coal-derived liquids from coal liquefaction processes by the pressure precoat filtration method using particles of 85-350 mesh material selected from the group of bituminous coal, anthracite coal, lignite, and devolatilized coals as precoat materials and as body feed to the unfiltered coal-derived liquid.
