Abstract: Systems and methods for establishing and managing fast data channels among modern workspaces are described. In an embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: detect access by a first workspace and a second workspace to an IHS resource, and establish a fast data channel between the first and second workspaces, at least in part, based upon context information.

Abstract: A method may include retrieving a media identifier for an item of content to be published, publishing a public key associated with the item of content to a database in order to store the public key in an entry associated with the media identifier, encrypting the media identifier with a private key of a public-private key pair including the public key to generate an encrypted media identifier, and during creation of the item of content, embedding the encrypted media identifier in the item of content.

Abstract: A method may include during playback of content, periodically capturing an audio overlay of an audio track of the content, wherein the audio overlay includes an encrypted timestamp associated with a time of creation of the content. The method may also include, during playback of the content: periodically extracting the encrypted timestamp from the audio overlay, continuously decrypting the encrypted timestamp with a public key of a public-private key pair comprising a private key used to encrypt the encrypted timestamp, in order to continuously create a decrypted timestamp, and continuously comparing the decrypted timestamp with a creation time of the content to verify one or more of authorship and authenticity of the content.

Abstract: Systems and methods of managing an optimal port setup for workspaces are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include: a processor; and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: obtain information for a plurality of peripheral devices coupled to at least some of a plurality of ports of the IHS in a first configuration; and recommend a second configuration for connecting one or more of the plurality of peripheral devices to one or more of the plurality of ports of the IHS based, at least in part, on the information.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for methods for the intelligent orchestration of video or image mirroring using a platform framework are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: receive a notification, via a platform framework, of a communication session; and in response to the notification, apply a video or image mirroring operation, via the platform framework, to at least a portion of content shared during the communication session.

Abstract: Peripherals can be managed in a containerized environment. A peripheral can be virtualized in multiple containers to allow applications hosted in the containers to access the peripheral. Local applications may also be allowed to access the peripheral. Such access may be enabled by virtualizing handles to the peripheral. The applications' access to the peripheral may be managed in accordance with policy to thereby ensure that one application's access does not negatively impact another application's access.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for managing an Information Handling System (IHS) using a workspace orchestration system are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an IHS may include computer-executable instructions to, upon a request to instantiate a workspace on the IHS, receive a user identity of a user of the workspace. Using the user identity of the user, the instructions may further cause the IHS to obtain, from a database, one or more policies associated with the user, and instantiate the workspace using the obtained policies. The policies identify one or more applications to be implemented in the workspace, application settings to be applied to each of the applications, or workspace settings to be applied to the workspace.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing workspaces using productivity profiles are described. In an embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution, cause the IHS to: send a user's productivity profile to a remote service, where the productivity profile is created based, at least in part, upon a utilization of a peripheral device when the IHS is deployed in a first workspace; and receive, from the remote service, a recommendation to deploy the IHS in a selected workspace, where the recommendation is produced based, at least in part, upon a comparison between the user's productivity profile and a set of capabilities of the selected workspace.

Abstract: Systems and methods for distributing workloads across devices based on network conditions are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment an Information Handling System (IHS) of a workspace orchestration service obtains, from host IHSs, specifications of the respective host IHSs, where a first host IHSs hosts a plurality of workloads. The workspace orchestration service also obtains, from one or more of the host IHSs including a second host IHS, a respective one or more network connectivity parameters of the one or more host IHSs, including at least one network connectivity parameter from the second host IHS. The workspace orchestration service transitions one or more of the plurality of workloads from the first host IHS to the second host IHS based, at least in part, on the specifications of the first and second host IHSs, and the network connectivity parameters of the second host IHSs.

Abstract: Performance of a computing device can be optimized in a mixed workload environment. A management service can be configured to capture telemetry data from web applications or containerized applications and use such telemetry data to detect a scenario. Based on the detected scenario, the management service can select optimized performance settings and cause the optimized performance settings to be applied within the browser or container in which the application is deployed. Machine learning techniques can be employed to detect and define optimized performance settings for a particular scenario.

Abstract: A system and method for predicting remaining battery life for a portable information handling systems include determining power consumption for an OLED display based on an on pixel ratio (OPR) for each pixel. When a user starts a session of an application and a file, file metadata may be used to search a database storing OPR profiles, with each OPR profile including one or more time series associated with one or more instances of the application executing the file. For static files, a time series in an OPR profile may be used to predict power consumption and calculate battery life. For dynamic files, periodically measuring OPR data may be used to predict power consumption. For some dynamic files, historic OPR values and periodic measurements may be used to predict power consumption. The user may be provided with a list of files usable during the calculated battery life.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for consolidation of IHS (Information Handling System) VPN (Virtual Private Network) resources utilized by workspaces operating on the IHS, where the workspaces operate in isolation from the operating system of the IHS. A remote workspace orchestration service manages deployment of workspaces on the IHS. The workspaces are instantiated and operate according to a workspace definition provided by the workspace orchestration service. An embedded controller of the IHS registers a VPN consolidation function of the IHS with the workspace orchestration service, which notifies the workspaces of the VPN consolidation function. A VPN workspace is instantiated that operates according to a workspace definition provided by the workspace orchestration service. The respective workspace definitions of the workspaces are updated to route VPN communications to the VPN workspace.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for resolving remote meeting conflicts using learned attributes and context information are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: determine, based upon context information collected by the IHS, that a user of the IHS is more likely to attend a first remote meeting than a second remote meeting, where the first and second remote meetings are scheduled to take place, at least in part, concurrently; and in response to the determination, apply one or more settings to the IHS that are associated with the first remote meeting.

Abstract: A system and method for transitioning workspaces in a multi-device environment are described. In an illustrative, non-limiting embodiment, an IHS may include computer-executable instructions to receive a request to transition a workspace from the IHS to a computing platform external to the IHS. Based upon the request, the instructions calculate a first Best Known Configuration (BKC) for executing the workspace on the IHS, and transmit the obtained BKC to the computing platform. The computing platform uses the BKC to calculate a second BKC for executing the workspace on the computing platform based on the capabilities of the computing platform, and instantiate the workspace on the computing platform using the second BKC. The BKC is based on workspace parametric data associated with operation of the workspace on the IHS.

Abstract: Systems and methods for pre-loading applications with a constrained memory budget and prioritizing the applications based on contextual information are described. An Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: collect user context information and system context information, detect a triggering event based upon the user context information and the system context information, identify a memory budget for pre-loading one or more applications, and select the one or more applications with one or more settings configured to maintain a memory usage for the pre-loading below the memory budget.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an Information Handling System (IHS) includes executable instructions for receiving a request to execute an application that has been deployed in the workspace by a workspace that has been instantiated on the IHS. In response, the instructions communicate with the IHS to obtain a license entity associated with the application, and execute the application in the workspace according to the obtained license entity associated with the application.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods for managing an Information Handling System (IHS) using a workspace orchestration system are described. Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for consolidation of IHS (Information Handling System) resources utilized by workspaces operating on the IHS, where the workspaces operate in isolation from the operating system of the IHS. A remote workspace orchestration service manages deployment of workspaces on the IHS. The workspaces are instantiated and operate according to a workspace definition provided by the workspace orchestration service. An embedded controller of the IHS registers a resource consolidation function of the IHS with the workspace orchestration service, which notifies the workspaces of the resource consolidation function. Based on the workspace definitions, redundant IHS resources utilized by the workspaces are identified. The resource consolidation function is notified of the redundant IHS resources.

Abstract: A method for allocating traffic between a wireless interface and a wired interface of an information handling system may begin with determining that the information handling system is connected to a dock via a wireless interface. A determination may also be made that the information handling system is connected to the dock via a wired interface. One or more characteristics of at least a portion of data to be transmitted between the information handling system and the dock may be determined. A first portion of the data to be transmitted may be transmitted via the wireless interface based, at least in part, on the one or more characteristics. A second portion of the data to be transmitted may be transmitted via the wired interface based, at least in part, on the one or more characteristics.
