  • Patent number: 6604643
Abstract: A bottle security device includes an inner member and an outer member that cooperate to lock the bottle security device on the neck of a bottle. The inner member includes a plurality of fingers that are adapted to fit under the bead on a bottle neck. The inner member further includes outwardly extending teeth. The outer sleeve member of the device slides over the inner member and forces the fingers against the bottle. The outer sleeve member further includes a plurality of upwardly extending arms that have inwardly projecting teeth that engage the teeth of the inner member to lock the two members together. A key is used to separate the two pieces and release the security device from the bottle. The key extends down through the top of the outer sleeve member to physically engage the upwardly extending arms and to move them radially outward to where they disengage the inner member.

  • Publication number: 20030116454
Abstract: A lockable media storage container has a sliding member that is movable between locked and unlocked positions. In the locked position, the sliding member engages the lid to hold the lid in the closed position. A blocking member prevents the sliding member from moving from the locked position to the unlocked position until the blocking member is intentionally broken. In another embodiment of the invention, a clip or a pair of clips are used to hold the media storage container in the closed condition. The container remains locked until the clip is intentionally destroyed. The clip may be destroyed by the retail clerk or by the consumer when the container is removed from the retail establishment. Both of these embodiments are described as being used with a standard-sized jewel case.

  • Patent number: 6383119
Abstract: A one-piece molded plastic vehicular enclosure for children is disclosed. The vehicular enclosure, which can either be a car or truck configuration, has a length substantially greater than its width and height. The enclosure includes opposing top and bottom surfaces and opposing side surfaces inner connecting the top and bottom surfaces. The enclosure further includes opposing front and rear surfaces extending between the top and bottom surfaces and side surfaces. The rear surface includes a rear entry opening for ingress and egress of children into and out of the enclosure. The rear entry opening is defined by a cylindrical extension projecting from the rear surface. The rear entry opening has a height and width substantially equal to the distance between the top and bottom surfaces to facilitate ingress and egress into the enclosure by children. Preferably, the rear entry opening is sufficiently large to permit two children to pass one another during ingress and egress relative to the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20020027090
Abstract: A storage container for a disc-shaped item of recorded media includes a base and a lid that is hingedly connected to the base and moveable between open and closed positions. The lid does not cover the entire surface area of the base when the lid is closed. The areas that are not covered are holding tabs that allow the base to be easily held by one hand while the other hand opens the lid and removes the disc. The base includes a hub that has a low overall height that reduces the overall thickness of the storage container.
