Abstract: A therapeutic material or pharmaceutical is composed of 1) amniotic membranes in a large intact sheet, 2) lysates of intact sheets of amniotic membrane, or 3) the non-particulate fluids produced while creating lysates of intact sheets of amniotic membrane. Any of the embodiments of the therapeutic material can be formed with or without the incorporation of complex chemicals like hyaluronic acid and/or honey and/or additional therapeutic cells. The device or fluid is used to treat diseased tissue. Lysates of the amniotic membrane can be formed into any desirable shape, and then dehydrated, to maintain the desired 3D form of the device.

Abstract: A multi-function capsulorhexis guide may include an outer rim, an inner rim, an anterior surface, a capsulorhexis guide, and an iris contact angle. The outer rim may include an outer rim medial edge, an outer rim lateral edge, and an outer rim thickness. The inner rim may comprise an inner rim medial edge, an inner rim lateral edge, and an inner rim thickness. The capsulorhexis guide may be configured to guide a tearing of a lens capsule. The anterior surface may include an adhesion geometry configured to temporarily fix the multi-function capsulorhexis guide to a portion of the lens capsule. The iris contact angle may be configured to retract an iris.

Abstract: A surgical laser smoke plume evacuator includes an evacuator body which is formed to a shape which is suitable for placement in normal use position substantially entirely around and adjacent to a tissue site upon which laser surgery is to be performed. The evacuator body has structure for removing smoke therethrough, and a smoke exit portion in communication with and extending from the evacuator body. The smoke exit portion is connectable to vacuum source, to thereby apply a vacuum to the evacuator body and cause smoke which is created at a surgical site during surgery to be removed from the surgical site through the evacuator body and the smoke exit portion.
