  • Publication number: 20250235996
Abstract: A piston alignment tool and an engine kit having the piston alignment tool help facilitate improved positioning of a piston with respect to a cylinder liner. The piston alignment tool includes a body and an inner guide surface extending along an inner diameter of the body. The inner guide surface is configured to guide the piston with respect to an inner diameter of the cylinder liner. An axially extending overhang engagement tab extends from the body, with the axially extending overhang engagement tab being configured to interface with an outer circumference of the cylinder liner.

  • Patent number: 11867290
Abstract: An engine includes an engine block and a cylinder head mounted to the engine block. The engine block includes a bore elongated along an axis and a liner disposed in the bore and extending annularly about the axis. The liner includes a seal surface and a fire dam disposed radially inward from the seal surface. The fire dam extends along the axis from the seal surface towards the cylinder head. The engine further includes a head gasket disposed between the engine block and the cylinder head. The head gasket extends endlessly around the fire dam. The engine further includes a shim seated between the seal surface and the head gasket and abutting the seal surface and the head gasket. The shim is disposed radially outward from the fire dam and extending annularly about the axis.

  • Publication number: 20200109781
Abstract: The piston includes a pair of pin bores that are aligned with one another along a pin bore axis. The piston further includes a crown that has a top combustion surface with an outer rim and a ring belt that depends from the outer rim. The ring belt includes a top land and a first ring groove for receiving a piston ring. At least one recess is formed into the top land and extends from the top combustion surface less than a full distance from the top combustion surface to the first ring groove.

  • Publication number: 20170283162
Abstract: A portable container for storing a substance capable of having varying degrees of viscosity is described. The container holds the substance, such as marijuana concentrate, without leakage or spilling and at a nearly constant upright or level position. The container includes several components including an outer shell, an inner ball having a low center of gravity, and liners that are inserted into the inner ball to hold the substance. A heavy base in the inner ball provides a low center of gravity for the ball which helps keep it upright regardless of the orientation or movement of the container. The outer shell includes two components that are coupled tightly using a pin, track, and magnet mechanism requiring little effort by the user to open and close.

  • Publication number: 20110099121
Abstract: Shipments are tracked in an online integrated logistics system operated by a logistics service provider. A shipment order is received from a shipper. A shipment record corresponding to the order is created in the online integrated logistics system. A web-based interface permits personnel at a shipment location for the shipment to enter a tracking number and status updates corresponding to the shipment. The status updates indicate when a shipment corresponding to the shipment order has been loaded on a trailer, when the trailer is full and when the trailer has been picked up by a carrier. The tracking number and status updates are stored in the shipment record in the online integrated logistics system. The shipment record including the tracking number and status updates is made available to the shipper, the logistics service provider, and the personnel via a web-based user interface.

  • Publication number: 20060151960
Abstract: A seal joint for sealing a fluid is particularly adapted for use in extreme pressure and/or temperature environments. The seal joint includes a first member having a first sealing surface and a first opening therein, and a second member having a second sealing surface and a second opening therein, such that the first opening and the second opening comprise mating openings, and together comprise a fluid passageway. The seal joint also includes a metal gasket sheet located between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface which has an aperture through the sheet which corresponds to the mating openings. The seal joint also includes a rigid seal which surrounds the perimeter of the aperture and which is attached to the surface of the metal gasket sheet. The rigid seal has a thickness and a width which vary as a function of position along the length of the seal.
