  • Patent number: 7022228
Abstract: A filter device includes a pot-shaped filter housing (1) that defines a longitudinal axis along which a filter element (13) can be inserted into and removed form the filter housing (1). A retaining device detachably retains the filter element (13) in the filter housing (1) and has first and second retaining elements on the inner side of the filter housing (1) and on the filter element (13) and interacting with one another. At least one set of the retaining elements has a shape coaxial to the longitudinal axis of the filter housing (1) and forms at least a part of a thread. When the filter element (13) is rotated about its longitudinal axis, it is locked in a form-fit.

  • Publication number: 20050284807
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter element comprising a filter cylinder whose outer side rests against a fluid-permeable supporting tube (15). The inside (3) of the filter cylinder can be flown through by the fluid to be filtered, and the filter cylinder is formed by a filter mat web. The filter mat web has a series of folds (9) that rest against one another at least in areas. Both ends of the filter mat web are joined to one another at a junction (5) in order to form an annolar body (1). The inventive filter element comprises a device that acts upon the junction (5) in order to prevent, in the area of the junction (5), a bulging of the folds (9) that is caused by the flow of the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20050029171
Abstract: A top or bottom mounted, in-line, in-tank return line filter element is mounted in a hydraulic reservoir. The reservoir includes a holding tank, at least one outlet extending from and one return line extending to the reservoir, an in-tank return line within the reservoir and extending to one return line, and an in-tank return line filter element mounted within the in-tank return line. The in-tank return line filter element includes an end cap, a filter media and a by-pass valve coupled thereto. The end cap includes a central fluid opening, a mounting surface for the filter media, and a peripheral attaching mechanism for attaching the filter element to the in-tank return line to form a filter assembly. The mounting surface is positioned between the central opening and the attaching mechanism such that an in-line, in-tank filter element is provided.

  • Patent number: 6695966
Abstract: A filter element is provided with an ascending pipe and a filter material subject to soiling and is supported by a supporting pipe. The filter material is separable from the ascending pipe such that the multi-component ascending pipe can be reused and to reduce the weight of hazardous waste to be disposed of when the soiled filter material has been changed. The ascending pipe is provided at least on one of its ends with a reception for the filter material in such a manner that the filter material with the supporting pipe as one assembly (22) and with the ascending pipe (10) as another component are detachable coupled, allowing the exchange of the soiled filter material by new filter material while keeping the ascending pipe. The filter element can be assembled during production with less effort, thereby allowing for a reduction of costs.

  • Patent number: 6620316
Abstract: A modular system for putting together different sized filter elements, especially filter elements having different lengths, more particularly filter devices for hydraulic fluids, comprising a support tube that defines an inner cavity in the corresponding filter element, said tube being surrounded by a filter mat that is substantially cylindrical and that matches the different dimensions and having passages to let the fluid pass through. The filter elements also contain at least one coupling member enabling connection on the end side of a corresponding support tube to an additional support tube having a location on the end side for interacting with and locking on the coupling member. Each coupling member is embodied as an attachment plug element with a crown consisting of interspaced tabs extending in axial direction and hooks for snapping on the location of the attached support tube.

  • Patent number: 6347712
Abstract: A filter with a multi-piece filter body has a filter head connected to a filter pot and has at least one filter element. The filter element has a support tube surrounded by a filter mat. The filter mat free ends have element mountings. One of the element mounting is rigidly connected to the support tube and can be placed in contact with the filter head. An intermediate member is arranged, at least at that end of the filter element mounting connected to the filter head, between that element mounting and that end of the filter mat, and can be removed along with the filter mat from the support tube which remains connected to the filter head.

  • Patent number: 6117312
Abstract: A filter device has a bypass valve which releases a fluid-conveying path to an outlet when a filter element becomes clogged. The bypass valve includes a closure part on which at least one closure spring acts. To adjust the spring pretension and the opening force for the closure part, an adjusting device is provided for adjusting the opening force of the closure spring. The filter device can be economically adapted without any structural modifications to very different applications in a predetermined pressure range.
