Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for determining blood flow characteristics of a patient. One method includes: receiving, in an electronic storage medium, patient-specific image data of at least a portion of vasculature of the patient having geometric features at one or more points; generating a patient-specific reduced order model from the received image data, the patient-specific reduced order model comprising estimates of impedance values and a simplification of the geometric features at the one or more points of the vasculature of the patient; creating a feature vector comprising the estimates of impedance values and geometric features for each of the one or more points of the patient-specific reduced order model; and determining blood flow characteristics at the one or more points of the patient-specific reduced order model using a machine learning algorithm trained to predict blood flow characteristics based on the created feature vectors at the one or more points.

  • Patent number: 12048994
Abstract: A breaching tool is powered by a blank cartridge in a breaching gun and includes a barrel, a propulsion assembly in the barrel, and a spring assembly around the barrel. When the cartridge is discharged in a chamber in fluid communication with the barrel's bore, pressure produced by the discharged cartridge propels the propulsion assembly forward from a ready position to an extended position, forcing a ramming head forward. The spring assembly has a compression spring in a spring can that biases the assemblies and ramming head back to the ready position. The breaching tool also includes a handguard that extends over and past the barrel's proximal half and surrounds a rear portion of the spring can. When used with a semiautomatic breaching gun, the breaching tool includes gas block over a gas port in the barrel, and a gas tube extends back to the breaching gun's bolt carrier group.

  • Patent number: 12042181
Abstract: A surgical pin compression wound dressing stabilizing system includes a compressive wound dressing module having a central orifice and radial slit, and a stabilizing device formed of a single piece of material having a longitudinal passageway and a vertical slit, the slits allowing insertion of the module and stabilizing device on a surgical pin at a wound site with the surgical pin dispose in the orifice and passageway. The stabilizing device has an upright post with the longitudinal passageway and a bottom base with a recessed central cavity open at a bottom that receives and mates with an upper portion of the module. The bottom base has a lower outer annular surface surrounding the central cavity for engaging a peripheral rib on the module to enable application of an equal distribution of a downward compressive pressure on the module.

  • Publication number: 20240100426
Abstract: In a multiplayer video game, virtual cameras are controlled by continually assessing and ranking storylines relating to the interactions of various players during a game session. A ranking for each storyline may be based on various factors such as, but not limited to, what the players can see, the distance between certain players, nearby game items or in-game. Subsequently, at least one virtual camera is navigated to provide a view of the highest-ranking storyline, subject to certain limitations on how the camera can move, transition, or otherwise display the interactions between players. A set of rules including rules of cinematography, are used to provide additional control of the movement of the virtual camera. Movements of a human camera-person are used on a mocap system to control the movement of the virtual camera.

  • Patent number: 11711220
Abstract: From the enterprise cloud to robot swarms, distributed systems are everywhere. However, because these systems are realized through the careful coupling of disparate technologies (e.g., databases, messaging systems, and application runtimes), they are difficult to create and maintain—even for experienced engineers. This is a problem because the engineers of these systems have to work harder, be better trained, and thus cost more to employ, making it harder to create new products and inventions. A solution herein is a Data Backbone that provides a single medium for processing, storing, and sharing data in near-real-time. By combining these features into a single medium, the Data Backbone consolidates the functionality of several disparate tools into one system.
