  • Patent number: 9806905
Abstract: A local gateway and router device is configured to route uplink IP packets from a base station to a network element of a wireless local area network (WLAN) by configuring an IP route for the uplink IP packets based on a source IP address of the uplink IP packets. The source IP address is obtained from the WLAN; the uplink IP packets originate from a user equipment application having the source IP address; and the uplink IP packets have an indicator indicating that the uplink IP packets were received at the base station over a cellular link between the user equipment and the base station.

  • Patent number: 9674054
Abstract: In an apparatus for forwarding a present data packet from a present source network entity to a present destination network entity, the present destination network entity is selected from a plurality of destination network entities. The apparatus receives the present data packet and selects the present destination network entity based on a load balancing criterion. The apparatus forwards the present data packet to the present destination network entity and receives a response data packet from the present network destination entity. The response data packet includes information on a data packet association. The data packet association is an association between a plurality of different data packets belonging to a data session between a data source and a data destination. The apparatus stores the information on the association.

  • Patent number: 9667499
Abstract: A capability for sparsifying a representation of pairwise cost information is presented herein. The capability for sparsifying a representation of pairwise cost information may be used to sparsify a representation of pairwise cost information for a set of nodes. The sparsification of a representation of pairwise cost information for a set of nodes may provide thereby a sparsified representation of the pairwise cost information for the set of nodes. The sparsification of the representation of pairwise cost information for the set of nodes may be based on clustering of the nodes of the set of nodes into clusters. The sparsification of the representation of pairwise cost information for the set of nodes may be based on calculation of intra-cluster costs and inter-cluster costs, where the intra-cluster costs and inter-cluster costs are calculated based on the pairwise cost information of the representation of the pairwise cost information for the set of nodes.

  • Patent number: 9507932
Abstract: A capability for providing policy enforcement in a topology abstraction system is presented. The capability for providing policy enforcement in a topology abstraction system may support use of topology abstraction policies to control abstraction of topology information of a topology (e.g., a network topology of a communication network or any other suitable type of topology). The capability for providing policy enforcement in a topology abstraction system providing an abstract representation of a topology may support use of topology abstraction policies to control selection (or acceptance) of topology elements for inclusion within the abstract representation of a topology and filtering (or rejection) of topology elements from being included within the abstract representation of a topology.

  • Patent number: 9441256
Abstract: Termites have specialized digestive systems that overcome the lignin barrier in wood to release fermentable simple sugars. Using the termite Reticulitermes flavipes and its gut symbionts, high-throughput titanium pyrosequencing and proteomics approaches experimentally compared the effects of lignin-containing diets on host-symbiont digestome composition. Proteomic investigations and functional digestive studies with recombinant lignocellulases conducted in parallel provided strong evidence of congruence at the transcription and translational levels and provide enzymatic strategies for overcoming recalcitrant lignin barriers in biofuel feedstocks.

  • Patent number: 9215164
Abstract: Various exemplary embodiments relate to a method of determining a cost for a routing path in a network. The method includes: receiving a first metric for a plurality of links in a network, the first metric being a routing metric used to determine routing in the network; determining a routing path including a subset of the links based on the first metric, the routing path having an initial cost based on the first metric; receiving second metric information including a second metric that is different from the first metric; and calculating a corrected cost for the routing path based on the second metric.

  • Publication number: 20150165519
Abstract: The invention relates to metal formed parts, a method for producing the formed parts, use of the formed parts and the use of alloys to produce formed parts. Formed parts are produced from copper alloys with the composition (percent by weight) Sn: 2 to 8%, Zn: 2.5 to 13%, Pb: less than 0.25%, Ni: maximum 0.6%, optionally phosphorous, remainder Cu, but at least 84%, and unavoidable impurities, wherein the production of the formed parts includes at least one hot pressing process. The formed parts produced in this manner have outstanding corrosion resistance, very good material properties, high dimensional stability and surface quality and thus are particularly suited for use in water-carrying piping systems.

  • Publication number: 20140133354
Abstract: The method involves transmitting Ethernet packets between two or more Ethernet LANs through an interconnecting IP network. Each of the Ethernet LANs is connected to the interconnecting IP network by means of a respective customer edge device. An exchange between the customer edge devices of control information associated with the Ethernet packet transmission is processed and controlled by a centralised server connected to each of the customer edge devices via a control connection.
