  • Publication number: 20220285309
Abstract: A variable-stiffness module comprises a rigid structure (10) having a first stiffness, an intermediate substrate (20) having a second stiffness less than the first stiffness, and a flexible substrate (30) having a third stiffness less than the second stiffness. The rigid structure (10) is disposed on the intermediate substrate (20) and the intermediate substrate (20) is disposed on the flexible substrate (30). A conductor (40) is disposed partially on the intermediate substrate (21) and partially on the flexible substrate (30) and connected to the rigid structure (10). The conductor (40) extends from the rigid structure (10) to the intermediate substrate (21) to the flexible substrate (30). In some embodiments, a variable-stiffness module comprises any combination of multiple rigid structures, multiple intermediate substrates, and multiple conductors.

  • Publication number: 20200319590
Abstract: A method for forming a volume hologram film having security elements which are formed as a transfer section of the volume hologram film is described, wherein the volume hologram film has n volume hologram layers arranged one over another. The production of the volume hologram film is carried out in a roll-to-roll method with the following method steps: a) providing a carrier film from a supply roll; b) applying an i-th photopolymer layer to the carrier film; c) forming an i-th volume hologram in the photopolymer layer; d) forming an i-th volume hologram layer by curing the i-th photopolymer layer; e) repeating process steps b) to e) n?1 times; f) applying an adhesive layer to the background layer; g) winding the volume hologram film onto a take-up roll.

  • Patent number: 8848266
Abstract: A method for producing a security element (55) and a security element (55) in the form of a multilayered film body having a top side facing the observer. The security element (55) has a volume hologram layer, in which a volume hologram is recorded, which provides a first optically variable information item. The security element (55) has a replication layer, in the surface of which a relief structure providing a second optically variable information item is molded and which is arranged above the volume hologram layer. A partial metallic layer is arranged between the volume hologram layer and the replication layer, wherein the metallic layer is provided in one or a plurality of first zones of the security element and the metallic layer is not provided in one or a plurality of second zones of the security element.

  • Patent number: 8562026
Abstract: The invention concerns a security element (3?) having a top side and an underside and a process for the production thereof. The security element has a transparent layer (33?) with a non-homogenous refractive index, in which a plurality of Bragg planes are formed by a refractive index variation. The transparent layer (33?) is of a layer thickness of between 5 ?m and 200 ?m and the transparent layer (33?) has a plurality of first zones (41) of a smallest dimension of less than 300 ?m, which are arranged in accordance with a first grid raster in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional succession in mutually adjacent relationship and in which the Bragg planes of the transparent layer are respectively shaped to provide a respective transmissive optical imaging function.
