  • Patent number: 9599756
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a light weight optical mirror or a monolithic mirror comprising at least one cooling channel, the method comprising forming a mirror body by iteratively depositing a metallic powder in layers and applying, for each of the layers, heat at least in a subarea of this layer, thereby fusing or sintering the powder in this subarea and bonding it to a previously deposited layer, the powder remaining in an unfused state in at least one region, the method further comprising forming at least one cavity within the carrier by removing the unfused powder from said region and producing a mirror surface at a closed surface of the mirror body. The invention further relates to an optical mirror and to an optical device.

Inventors: Sebastian Scheiding, Andreas Gebhardt, Christoph Damm, Michael Scheiding, Stefan Risse
  • Publication number: 20160210885
Abstract: A wristband is provided. The wristband includes an elongated first body, an elongated second body, and an adhesive coupling system all of which are disposed in layers. The first body, which is the upper layer has an outer surface that is a printing surface. The second body, which is the lower layer is made from a comfortable fibrous sheet material. The adhesive is disposed between the two bodies, thereby coupling the bodies together. A portion at one end of the second body, a tab portion, has a release coating on the inner surface. In this configuration, the tab can be removed and the adhesive underneath can be attached to the other end of the wristband. As the tab is part of the second body, as opposed to a separate release liner, the wristband may be disposed on a roll and passed through a label printer.

  • Patent number: 8354036
Abstract: A method for the pre-treatment of titanium components for the subsequent coating thereof is provided. The method includes at least the following steps: a) etching of the component in an acidic solution containing fluoride and nitric acid (HNO3); b) activation pickling of the etched component in a solution containing at least sodium nitrate (NaNO3) and tetrafluoroboric acid (HBF4); and c) activation of the activation-pickled component in a bath containing acid or in an acidic bath containing nickel.
