  • Patent number: 11655116
Abstract: An apparatus for aligning at least one note of value along a transport path including at least one transport element, at least one first drive unit, first and second rotatably mounted deflecting elements, and a second drive unit. The transport element includes an endless drive belt. The first drive unit drives the transport element in a first direction of rotation which moves the note of value along the transport path in a transport direction. The transport element is deflected over the deflecting elements. The second drive unit displaces at least one of the first and second deflecting elements along its axis of rotation so that by displacing the one of the first and second deflecting elements the note of value contacting the at least one transport element is moved obliquely to the transport direction.

  • Patent number: 11084677
Abstract: An apparatus for aligning at least one note of value along a transport path has at least one transport element and at least one first drive unit for driving the transport element. The driven transport element moves the note of value along the transport path in a transport direction. The transport element includes an endless drive belt, which is deflected over at least two rotatably mounted deflecting elements and a second drive unit for displacing one of the deflecting elements along its axis of rotation. By displacing the deflecting element, the note of value contacting the belt is moved obliquely to the transport direction. A further apparatus includes at least one vane wheel by which the note of value is movable transversely to the transport direction.

  • Publication number: 20210138819
Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of thermal donor laminate formulations and thermal transfer donor elements comprising the same. Thermal donor elements described herein can be used to transfer the laminate onto thermal receiver elements using thermal transfer means to create a transparent, protective overcoat film. In certain embodiments, the laminate is formulated without colloidal silica. Laminate formulations comprise appropriate solvent packages to account for the removal of colloidal silica, including, in some embodiments, solvent packages that do not include DEK. Certain embodiments described herein exhibit advantageous performance characteristics, such as avoiding and/or mitigating flash, satin back transfer, and print artifacts, and resist scratches.

  • Patent number: 10950898
Abstract: A method (100) for depassivation of a battery (BATT) of a cash and valuables container (10) includes at least one electronically controllable component (14) and an associated control circuit (18) being supplied by the battery (BATT). The control circuit (18) executes at least one control procedure for the at least one electronically controllable component (14). The valuables container can be transportable, e.g. a cash box (10), and includes an invalidation unit, in particular an ink dyeing system (14). The control circuit (18) then also executes the depassivation (120) of the battery (BATT) each time before activating or deactivating the at least one control procedure (130) or a sub-routine thereof, such as the sub-routine for controlling and driving the ink dyeing system. Specifically, the depassivation of the battery (BATT) is performed before each first/initial execution of the least one control procedure (130).

  • Patent number: 10543998
Abstract: An apparatus for aligning at least one note of value along a transport path includes at least one transport element driven by at least one first drive unit and at least one counter-pressure element arranged opposite to the transport element. The transport path of the note of value extends between the transport element and the counter-pressure element. The counter-pressure element is ball-shaped and is mounted so as to be freely rotatable. Further, the apparatus includes a second drive unit for displacing the transport element along its axis of rotation so that a note of value arranged between the transport element and the counter-pressure element is moved transversely to the transport direction during displacement of the transport element.

  • Patent number: 9542791
Abstract: The invention relates to a cash box (10) having a receiving area (12) for receiving notes of value, an invalidating unit (14), a sensor unit (18) for detecting manipulation attempts and a control unit (16). In an activated operating state, the control unit (16) triggers the invalidating unit (14) when the sensor unit (18) detects a manipulation attempt. In a deactivated operating state, the control unit (16) does not trigger the invalidating unit (14) even in the presence of a manipulation attempt. Prior to the activation of the cash box (10), the control unit (16) checks the proper functioning of at least one sensor (20) of the sensor unit (18). In addition, the invention relates to a method for activating a cash box (10).

  • Patent number: 6228569
Abstract: A silver halide light sensitive photographic element is disclosed comprising a polyethylene terephthalate film base, at least one light sensitive silver halide-containing emulsion layer, an antihalation undercoat layer, and a process-surviving antistatic backcoat, wherein the polyethylene terephthalate film base has been formed by drafting a cast resin at a stretch ratio of at least 3.4, tentering at a stretch ratio of at least 3.4, and heat-setting at an actual heat-set temperature of at least 216° C. In accordance with preferred embodiments of the invention, the polyethylene terephthalate film base of the photographic element is formed by: (a) casting a molten polyethylene terephthalate resin in a machine direction onto a casting surface to form a continuous sheet, (b) drafting the sheet by stretching in the machine direction at a stretch ratio of from 3.4 to 4, and at a temperature ranging from 70 to 130° C.
