  • Publication number: 20210190794
Abstract: The invention relates generally to peptide biomarkers with specific ionization characteristics to directly quantify one or more transgenic target proteins in biological samples, including transgenic plant samples, by liquid chromatography coupled tandem mass spectrometry multiple reaction monitoring (MRM). The peptide biomarkers in combination with MRM-based methods may be used to quantify a single transgenic target protein or multiple transgenic target proteins within a stacked transgenic crop, such as maize, utilizing selected peptide biomarkers either alone or in combination. The present disclosure allows for broad based, reliable quantitation in different biological matrices, including plant matrices. The peptide biomarkers of the invention can further be used as trait biomarkers to support identification and/or selection of specific transgenic Events. Also provided are different peptide biomarker combinations that can be used to perform the methods of the invention.

  • Patent number: 9434001
Abstract: A three-plate die casting tool has a gating system, and a gating system is used in the tool. The tool includes a gating cone, at least one gating distributor channel connected with the gating cone, as well as at least one gating sprue connected with the at least one gating distributor channel. The gating cone makes a transition into at least one gating distributor channel that deflects the casting material capable of flow. The gating distributor channel opens into a kind of central gating distributor location, from which multiple gating re-distributor channels proceed, which make a transition, in each instance, into at least one, preferably only one gating sprue that deflects the casting material capable of flow. The gating sprues form the connection or the entry to the cast component.

  • Patent number: 9272326
Abstract: An apparatus for ventilation of a casting mold has two mold halves that lie opposite one another and are complementary, in terms of shape and function, to one another. The halves have a plurality of elevations and/or depressions, in each instance, which run essentially parallel to one another and essentially transverse to a flow direction, on their surfaces that face one another, in such a manner that when the mold halves are set onto one another, a gap having an inlet and an outlet forms between the mold halves, at least in part. The gap is washboard-shaped, labyrinth-shaped and/or meander-shaped. Through the gap, air displaced out of the casting mold and excess molten material flow during filling of the casting mold. At least one mold half is formed by multiple segments disposed next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the mold half and releasably attached.

  • Publication number: 20060287834
Abstract: Systems, methods, computer programming product, and databases for virtual mass spectrometry (VMS) enable the identification of polypeptides in samples without acquisition of MS/MS fragmentation spectra. Methods according to the invention employ databases containing records corresponding to polypeptides potentially present in samples. In addition to identifying polypeptides, such databases may be used for other purposes, including for example to correct experimental data, e.g., for analytical systemic errors.
