    Abstract: A process and a device for metal spinning a blank into a formed part, especially into a vessel bottom, are described, which can be used for forming materials including materials which are difficult to deform, with high dimensional accuracy and/or high degrees of deformation. For attaining this object, the blank is clamped on its circumference and forced freely, i.e. without using a spinning chuck, into a clearance by means of a motion-controlled spinning tool until its finished dimension is reached.
