  • Publication number: 20070260515
Abstract: A method and system for pacing online advertisement deliveries are disclosed. According to one aspect of the invention, the present invention overcomes the problems in the existing art described above by providing a method and system for pacing the delivery of online advertisements. In one embodiment, a method, that is to be implemented on a system, is provided to identify a rate at which billable events for an online advertisement occur; and adjust at least one of a pace the online advertisement is served, or an amount charged for the advertisement being selected, based on the rate the online advertisement is selected and a budget limit.

  • Publication number: 20070260516
Abstract: A method and system for billing for online ad delivery services are disclosed. According to one aspect of the invention, an advertiser establishes an account with an online ad delivery service, and provides an initial amount of funds for the account. In addition, the advertiser establishes a budget limit for a specified budget period. As ads are served and clicked by end-users, a predetermined fee is debited from the advertiser's account. However, the ad server includes budget analysis logic to determine when to stop serving ads to ensure that the advertiser's budget limit is not exceeded, thereby ensuring that the advertiser's initial funds are not used up more quickly than desired.

  • Publication number: 20070214050
Abstract: Delivering advertisements via the Internet may include extracting an index file, including a bid price, and a table of contents pointing to a start location of the keyword in the index file. Keywords in the query string may be matched to advertisements by searching the table of contents to locate the start location of that keyword in the index and matching that keyword to index file entries until a next indexed keyword is encountered. Advertisements may be matched based on an estimated yield and priced a price lower than the bid price that retains the ranking. A search result set including a link to the highest ranked advertisements may be used to respond to the query string. Each entry in the index file may include a set of preselected keywords, a text copy of the advertisement, a negative keyword to prevent a matching and/or click through rates.

  • Publication number: 20070214132
Abstract: Advertisements over a network, such as the Internet, by extracting an index file of suppliers of search result sets for a plurality of keywords and/or an index of ads to be placed. A keyword in a received query may be matched to the suppliers of related search result sets and/or the ads to be placed in the index file(s). The search results may be ranked based on various criteria such as yield, click through rates and history of dealings. Search result sets for the keywords from the matching suppliers and the ads to be placed may be combined to produce a search result set ranked in accordance with estimated yields for advertisements associated with each result in the search result set and delivered in response to the received query. The search results in the combined set may be reranked and/or repriced.

  • Publication number: 20070214118
Abstract: A system for delivering advertisements via the internet may include an index file having entries related to advertisements for delivery via the internet, an extraction engine for updating the index file entries in accordance with changes in a database of said advertisements, a matching engine for matching a keyword in a query string to a plurality of the index file entries, a ranking engine for selecting an advertisement, for inclusion in a search result set responsive to the query sting, in accordance with an estimated monetary yield related to one of the plurality of index file entries matching a keyword in the query string and a pricing engine for discounting a charge for that inclusion in accordance with an estimated monetary yield for another one of the plurality of index file entries.

  • Publication number: 20070015131
Abstract: Storage system for extracorporeal storage of organs. The storage system artificially maintains or regenerates the vital functions of organs, including limbs and tissue lobes. The storage system comprises an organ perfusion chamber filled with dialysate as a storage fluid and equipped with a temperature control device that maintains the temperature of the storage fluid. The organ stored in the perfusion chamber is covered by a protective cover and maintained in a completely floating state in the storage fluid.

  • Publication number: 20070009881
Abstract: A perfusion system for the extracorporeal preservation of vitality or regeneration of organs, limbs or tissue lobes for use in transplant surgery, extracorporeal support of the liver, or for biochemical or pharmacological study of isolated organs. The system comprises an organ perfusion chamber filled with dialysate as the storage fluid and equipped with a temperature control device. An impermeable protective cover in the organ perfusion chamber is surrounded by the storage fluid. The cover receives the isolated organ and protects it from the storage fluid. The circulation system for maintaining vitality of the isolated organ includes a perfusate circulation system, an oxygenator, a dialyzer, and a dialysate circulation system. The perfusate circulation system comprises one or two pumps and two valves for independently dosing the perfusate partial flows and setting the mixing ratio, and not more than two reservoirs for collecting the perfusate.
