  • Patent number: 10294700
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle door lock and an associated method for the operation thereof, wherein the vehicle door lock is equipped with a locking mechanism, which essentially consists of a catch and a pawl. The pawl has a contact surface for the catch, which rests on said contact surface when the locking mechanism is closed. According to the invention, a supporting element, which delays the opening of the locking mechanism, is associated with the pawl, so that the catch glides along the contact surface up to a predetermined opening angle until is it is released from the pawl.

  • Patent number: 9777517
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to provide a reliably functioning lock for a motor vehicle in particular. This is achieved in that the claimed lock for a door or a panel has a locking mechanism consisting of a rotary latch and at least one pawl for locking the rotary latch. The rotary latch and the pawl are preferably designed such that the rotary latch is capable of introducing an opening torque into the pawl. The locking mechanism has a triggering lever for opening the locking mechanism. A transmission device is further provided which increases the pivotal movement of the triggering lever and which comprises a transmission lever in particular for moving the pawl out of the locking position of the pawl by means of a follower. On the basis of the pivotal movement transmission caused by the transmission lever, a relatively small pivotal movement of the triggering lever is sufficient to move the pawl completely out of the locking position by means of the follower.

  • Patent number: 9752357
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to design a door lock or flap lock which can be easily and reliably opened with little effort. Said aim is achieved by a door lock or flap lock comprising a locking mechanism that consists of a latch and at least one pawl for locking the latch. The lock further comprises a triggering lever which, upon being actuated allows the locked locking mechanism to be unlocked. The lock also comprises a spring for moving the pawl in the direction of the locking position. When the triggering lever is actuated, the triggering lever rests against the spring to push the spring away from the pawl and decrease or cancel the spring force. Using the triggering lever, functions, the number of parts can be kept to a minimum. Advantageously, the lock therefore is not complex to produce and is compact and lightweight.

  • Publication number: 20170191291
Abstract: The invention relates to a closing device, comprising a locking mechanism, which has a rotary latch and at least one pawl for locking the rotary latch. The closing device comprises an electric drive for moving components of the closing device. The present invention is especially advantageous for front hoods or front flaps, which are located in the front as viewed in the typical direction of travel of a motor vehicle. The invention further relates to a method for closing a hood by means of a closing device according to the corresponding claims. The present invention aim to be able to suitably move and control a plurality of components in such a closing device without having to make an excessive technical effort therefor. The invention should preferably enable a purely electrically operated hood lock having locking, opening, and closing functions.

  • Publication number: 20170009494
Abstract: The problem addressed by the invention is that of providing a closing device for a motor vehicle, by means of which a gap in a door or flap can be minimized. One aim in particular is to minimise the risk of injury. To solve this problem, a closing device comprises a locking mechanism that consists of a rotary latch and a pawl for locking said rotary latch in place. A drive is provided, with which said locking mechanism can be moved, totally or partially, by means of a pivot lever, also called a rocker, such that a gap in a door or flap can be reduced. Therefore, when a door or flap is closed, a gap initially remains between the door and doorframe, or between a frame and its associated flap. The drive allows the rocker, and therefore the locking mechanism or parts thereof, to be moved such that this gap is reduced. In order to minimise the weight and number of parts, the rotary latch and pawl are preferably rotatably secured to the rocker by means of shafts.

  • Patent number: 9499061
Abstract: A charging device for an electric vehicle, which charging device can be protected against unauthorized access in a particularly reliable manner. The charging device for an electric vehicle has a bolt for locking a connection between the charging device and a further charging device. If the charging device is mechanically connected to a further charging device for charging purposes, this mechanical connection is then locked by a corresponding end of the bolt being moved into a retaining opening in the further charging device. A retaining opening of this kind can, for example, be damaged by a broken web which serves for locking such that locking is no longer possible. Therefore, a device is provided which can prevent movement of the bolt in the direction of a locking position when the retaining opening is damaged in this way. A locking arrangement which is damaged in the above manner therefore fundamentally does not remain unnoticed.
