  • Publication number: 20070022857
Abstract: A cutter for flexible wrapping material is structured to be slidably secured around a lip defined along a top edge of a side of the container of the wrapping material. The cutter includes a blade extending inward from one of its inside surfaces. The lip securing the cutter to the box may be made by folding the top edge of the side of the box, or by attaching a separate lip to the top edge.

  • Publication number: 20060269169
Abstract: A closure has at least one channel portion adapted to receive an interlocking profile portion. The channel has at least one window permitting visual inspection of a profile interlocked therein. At least one profile is disposed for interlocking with the channel and includes a stem joined to the closure and one or more latching projections formed by a frangible connection to the stem, wherein one or more projections are adapted to cooperatively interlock with the channel portion of the closure, thereby sealing the closure. In one closure, a tamper evident structure is included in the form of a slider having a shaver to engage in shaving contact with interlocking closure members when passed along the closure in a direction opposite to the closing direction. The various closure members can include different colors. The closures can be used on bag structures.

  • Publication number: 20060171610
Abstract: A slider device for use on the closure mechanism of a reclosable plastic bag to assist in opening and closing of the bag is disclosed. The closure mechanism has resealable profiles with track members and the slider device has a separator structure that grips the track members in opening and closing the profile lock members. The relationship between the separator device and the track members allows for easier opening and closing of the bag and removal of the slider from the bag more difficult. A method of manufacturing and using a reclosable bag having the slider device and closure mechanism is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060072854
Abstract: A reclosable package includes first and second side panels connected to each other along respective side edges and bottom edges. A zipper closure is secured to the first and second side panels along upper edges thereof. A slider device is operably mounted on the zipper closure for opening and closing the zipper closure and a tamper-evident header is connected to the zipper closure and surrounds the slider device. The tamper-evident header has a front portion and a rear portion with upper ends connected together above the slider device and lower ends connected to the zipper closure. The front portion includes a segment displaceable therefrom to allow access to the slider device. A rear portion of the header may be formed with a hole for suspending or carrying the package.

  • Publication number: 20060029301
Abstract: A slider device having contoured top and sidewalls is disclosed for use with a resealable package. In a first embodiment, the slider device includes an engagement structure for engaging and interlocking first and second closure profiles of a resealable closure mechanism. The engagement structure includes a first protrusion and a second protrusion depending from the top wall of the slider device for engaging first and second closure profiles of a resealable closure mechanism. The first and second protrusions selectively open and close the resealable closure mechanism as the slider device is moved from a first position to a second position. In a second embodiment, a slider device is disclosed having first and second slide channels that engage first and second closure profiles. The first and second slide channels selectively open and close the resealable closure mechanism as the slider device is moved from a first position to a second position.

  • Patent number: 4591245
Abstract: A focusing arrangement for focusing reflecting telescopes comprises a lever gear means operated by an adjustment screw, which is provided between the rear interior face of a telescope housing and a telescope mount for displacing the latter and the reflecting telescope as required. In diametral opposition to a connection point between the telescope mount and the gear means relative to an optical axis a resilient means is provided for acting on and counteracting the adjustment operation exerted by the screw and lever combination in the course of which the telescope and mount are displaced along a guide means symmetrically provided about said optical axis.
