  • Patent number: 11923053
Abstract: HIPAA-compliant computer security method and system for recording, using a video camera, electronic visual personal health information of at least two individuals, including an individual under care, and preventing unauthorized access of the user to the video information. The video is compared to physical attribute information of the individuals stored in the computer system's memory, and the individuals are identified by facial matching. The user's stored caseload has authorization profile information including access to individuals under care. The identified individuals are compared to the user's caseload information, and the user is granted access to part of the video of the individual under care, the video of the other individuals is blurred, and the resulting video is transmitted to the user's caseload for viewing. Data fields of an information request are populated using formatted data from the video information.

  • Patent number: 8886562
Abstract: Settlement transactions are processed on a distributed computer system. Settlement data describing a settlement request are received and stored in a settlement storage. The storage includes a request status field with a value describing the status of the settlement request. The settlement data are stored in a vendor file responsive to the value of the request status field. Data describing the vendor file are stored in a vendor file information storage. The vendor file information storage includes a file status field with a value describing the status of the vendor file. The vendor file is provided to a vendor for settlement processing responsive to the value of the file status field. The distributed computer system is able to detect and rectify errors in the distributed computer system by using the request status and file status fields, which allows the distributed computer system to be comprised of conventional computers.

  • Publication number: 20060151437
Abstract: A current limiting power switch has a monolithic stationary conductor with a conductor section that mounts fixed contacts that engage moving contacts on moving contact fingers to form a reverse current loop with the contacts closed. A terminal section projects transversely from one end of the conductor section and an arc runner section extends from the other end. The tapered arc runner has a generally laterally centered tapered area that gathers the arcs and urges them along a raised rib on the arc runner to an arc chute. A reinforcing rib running from the back of the conductor and arc runner sections to the terminal section resists distortion of the monolithic stationary conductor by the high temperatures and closing and electromagnetic forces during interruption.

  • Publication number: 20050218334
Abstract: A photoionization detector includes a housing, electrical contacts within the housing and an easily removable and replaceable photoionization chamber within the housing. The photoionization chamber includes a cathodic electrode and an anodic electrode which may be coated with a thin layer of material. The photoionization chamber and the associated cathodic electrode and anodic electrode are removable from within the housing as a unit. The photoionization chamber makes electrical connection with the contacts when seated within the housing regardless of the orientation of the photoionization chamber about an axis.

  • Publication number: 20050218811
Abstract: A novel VUV lamp is described, in which one or more portions of the lamp enclosure include a VUV transmissive section to transmit VUV radiation. At least one of the VUV transmissive sections is fabricated from crystalline LiCaAlF6. The entire enclosure of the lamp can, for example, be fabricated from crystalline LiCaAlF6. Alternatively, a portion of the enclosure other than the VUV transmissive section(s) of the lamp can be fabricated from a material other than LiCaAlF6. For example, the material can be glass, ceramic or quartz. In one type of embodiment, the lamp's VUV optical radiation output is produced by an electrical gas discharge inside a sealed bulb. In preferred embodiments of this type, the bulb is filled with a low pressure of nitrogen gas or carbon monoxide gas.
