  • Patent number: 9776304
Abstract: The invention concerns a tool for machining of materials, specifically a grinding tool, which has a substantially rotationally symmetrical shape with respect to a rotation axis (R), the tool comprising an outer shell centered about the rotation axis and defining an internal space therein, wherein at least a part of a surface of the outer shell is provided with an abrasive coating or component, wherein the outer shell encases an internal skeleton structure in the internal space, the internal skeleton being integral with the outer shell and defining void volumes in the internal space thereby establishing material and void volumes of the internal space, and wherein the material to void ratio M/V is distributed substantially identically along each radius (r) centered around the rotation axis (R) and its corresponding symmetrical radius (r?). The invention also concerns a method for producing such tool.

  • Patent number: 9593473
Abstract: A plumbing system includes a tub having a drain fixture lodged within a floor drain opening. The drain fixture comprises a body member beneath the floor and a drain cap member inserted into an exposed open inlet of the body member. The body member has a passageway extending between the open inlet and a downstream open outlet in communication with a sewer. A pipe connected to the body member between the inlet and outlet has one end in communication with the passageway and another end in communication with an overflow opening in the tub above the drain opening to vent the passageway. The drain cap member moves between a first position allowing liquid to flow through the passageway and a second position preventing the flow of liquid through the passageway.

  • Patent number: 9493176
Abstract: A method operates a railway safety system having at least one trackside device while taking into account a measured velocity value recorded when the rail vehicle drives into a switch-on section of the railway safety system. In order to minimize the closing times for a level crossing by such a method, the measured velocity value is used as the basis for checking whether a correction time for forwarding a signal from the one trackside device to an associated railway safety assembly is to be set according to the measured velocity value when the rail vehicle drives into the switch-on section. Thereafter, a set correction time is checked to determine if the set correction time should remain effective according to at least one further influencing variable of the rail vehicle that determines the travel time. A railway safety system for carrying out the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20130245839
Abstract: A hot-beverage preparation apparatus, in particular a capsule machine, includes an actuator which generates sound emissions and/or vibrations and/or electromagnetic emissions and which can be operated in a normal operating mode for the purpose of preparing hot beverages. The hot-beverage preparation apparatus is designed to transmit data to a receiving device. The actuator can be operated at least in a data transmission mode, which generates sound emissions and/or vibrations and/or electromagnetic emissions, for the purpose of transmitting data to a receiving device.

  • Publication number: 20120279009
Abstract: A plug connection between a wiper blade and a wiper arm of a wiper mechanism for a windscreen of a vehicle is provided. A bolt standing laterally away from the wiper arm can be introduced into a socket. The bolt includes a recess extending in the direction of the middle axis of the bolt. When the socket is pushed onto the bolt, a raised element extending in radial direction and arranged on an inner wall of the socket can be guided along the recess. The recess includes an extension region, into which the raised element can be brought by twisting the bolt and the socket relative to each other. A stop limiting the twisting is formed in the extension region between the bolt and the socket. A locking position of the socket is thus precisely defined.

  • Publication number: 20090053114
Abstract: The invention relates to a reactor for the treatment of highly viscous plastic melts, comprising a horizontal, cylindrical container (2) with a vapour exhaust and chambers in the region of the melting bath, formed by the arrangement of panel walls, in which annular discs, fixed to a shaft (3) by spokes and serving as stirrer elements (4, 5) may be rotated, whereby, in the cavities of the annular discs (4, 5), two opposing scrapers (6, 7) are fixed to the inside of the container at an offset angle and run past at a small separation from the front faces of the annular discs and the sleeve of the shaft (3). According to the invention, the assembly and disassembly of the shaft and scraper is simplified by connection of the scraper to the inside of the container by means of a positive connection (13, 19).
